Great food. Nice but inattentive staff. - Edit
Enjoyable, although was left to mop up a spillage left by the waiter as he was placing down the drinks, he just giggled and walked away. I was there with my family and just thought it must have been an oversight so didn’t complain. Would of been 5 stars otherwise.

Brilliant vegan burgers and bowls - Edit
Thrive has a wonderful (mostly) vegan menu. My favourite dishes include the mac and peas, and the moreish buffalo cauliflower starter. They also do themed "Thrive Thursdays" where they experiment with new dishes. We went to the Spanish tapas night and the vegan calimari was incredible!

Bid portions - Edit
Stopped in for lunch and had a tofu salad.
Read moreNice chunky tofu, chickpeas and plenty of green in a satay sauce.
Really good letting me leave full but feeling healthy.
Stopped on a Sunday evening and had a kids burger, adult burger, posh fries and a teriyaki tofu noodle dish, not by myself.
Big portions and pretty tasty.

Great menu - Edit
Had the cauliflower tempura for starter and then both had burgers . Food was great but maybe due to individual taste we found it a little under seasoned . We will be back to try more of what looks like a very good menu . The staff were excellent and friendly

Loved the lunch! - Edit
Great food we had Thai Cakes which were delish, Dirty chips (with jalapeños) which I adored and Mac and Peas to complete our savoury selection. Pear Crumble and coconut ice cream for pudding was tasty but not as a scrummy as the other courses but decent. Enjoyed the service too with super friendly waiting staff up for a wee blether.

Loaded fries yes please - Edit
Loved it here, the actual place itself is so nice and chilled. I went for dinner and ordered almost half the menu, everything sounded so good! The cauliflower ‘wings’ were a stand out for sure and I definitely recommend you try them if you go! I can’t wait to go back for breakfast next time!

One of my favorite cocktails - Edit
Ordered the cauliflower wings, antipasti platter, the tofush sandwich and dirty fries. The sandwich was definitely a highlight. The “cheese” sauce on the fries was also amazing. The cocktails are well made. I ordered a grapefruit and thyme bourbon cocktail and it was one of my favorite drinks...ever. Great atmosphere. Definitely recommend reserving a table through the website.

Delicious savoury food - Edit
Things on the menu are vegan unless marked with a ‘v’ in which case they are vegetarian but not vegan. The savoury food was amazing! I had ceviche; it didn’t seem like South American ceviche but once I’d put those preconceptions aside, I very much enjoyed it. I also had a side of Thrive fries; they were possibly the best chips I’ve ever had! The chips themselves were amazing but what really made it for me was the topping, which I think was smoky beetroot and garlic - delicious! I was disappointed with the chocolate mousse I had; I was anticipating a bubbly, whipped affair but it wasn’t like that at all. Too much (non dairy) cream on top as well. So I would probably go elsewhere for dessert next time.

A quick coffee - Edit
I was excited to see a new vegan/veggie place on the block, so myself and my partner popped in for a coffee. The interior is very nice and the place was packed full, so is obviously already proving popular. The menu is by default vegan (veggie items are marked with a V) which is a refreshing change. The food all looked tasty but the price was more than I would pay for lunch, especially when there is a very good vegan cafe a couple doors down. We had a nice coffee here, but I was very disappointed that there was a supplement for plant milks (+30p) in an establishment with a default vegan menu- this makes no sense to me. I'm hoping this will change as Thrive establishes itself locally.

Good food and atmosphere - Edit
Really nice little cafe, pretty on the inside and a nice atmosphere. Went for dinner here the other week, and the food was really tasty. Quite fancy so the portion sizes were relatively small. It is mostly vegan with a couple of vegetarian dishes. The menu had more options than a lot of the vegan places in Edinburgh and they were predominantly healthy meals.

Cons: Smallish portion sizes
