Great find while on the road - Edit
Perfect stop traveling to Columbus from Indianapolis. A little too quiet in their quaint cafe- we were the only ones in on a Saturday evening. Yummy food and great service.

Read moreWe were greeted by Julieann and her husband and enjoyed some great convo about the art (local artists fratured)!
I half-joked that I wanted one of everything, but ended up with the grilled cheese 2.0 and my omni husbo ordered the Cuban. Bith sandwiches were amazing and we shared an equally amazing herbed spreadable cheese platter.
We ended up with full bellies, new art, and warm conversations with the owner about family and life.
We're excited to make it back up and see what new goodies are on the menu!

Makes Lafayette worth a trip! - Edit
Lafayette as a whole doesn’t seem to have many dedicated vegan options so this place is a treasure. Service was fast despite being busy, prices were pretty good, and most importantly the food was delicious. We ordered the pizza sub, grilled cheese, and pesto panini and LOVED them. My non vegan partner said it’s the best vegan cheese he’s had. Vibe of the place was cozy and cool as well.

Vegan gem in Lafayette, IN - Edit
The Vegan Cheese Lady Cafe is a gem in Lafayette! Julianne makes all of her delicious cheeses and vegan meats from scratch — no processed burger patties in sight — a refreshing change of pace from the typical “vegan option” at most restaurants. The cheese platter is beautifully presented and a delicious snack in its own right as a starter to your meal. The Reuben is also a favorite! Oh and don’t forget to pair your meal with a local beer or one of the delicious ice tea options. The cafe itself, in the heart of downtown Lafayette, is cozy and charming, featuring exposed brick and a rotating gallery of local art. The proprietors are friendly and welcoming. It’s great to have this amazing spot right here in town!

We thoroughly enjoyed the chipotle brat & sauerkraut, grilled cheese, and coleslaw. The coleslaw (creamy) is tastier than the dairy version. The southern belle herbal tea was lovely.

She's at the Purdue farmers market with handmade vegan cheeses and wonderful lunch items. There's usually two or three options each week and they change from week to week. I make sure to never miss it!!

At the Saturday Lafayette Farmer’s Market: got the chicken sandwich wrap, breakfast burrito with tofu scramble, and smoked Gouda cheese. All delicious! And very sweet vegan cheese lady.

Great Vegan Cheese - Edit
My husband and I have ordered cheese from The Vegan Cheese Lady many times and we love it. There is always various types of cheeses and she is always nice and helpful. We have used the cheese raw in charcuterie boards and have used it to make cooked things like grilled cheese. It does melt! We also really enjoy the salami. I highly recommend her cheese and other food!
