Perfect community shop & cafe

This is such a great place: The shop sells organic staple foods like dry legumes and seeds and also washing liquids (you can bring your own container to save plastic!) and foods which are close to their due date and not sold in supermarkets anymore for very affordable prices.

The cafe is great as well and has a solidary price system where you pay what you decide / can afford. Definitely check this out!

Pros: Great little scoop shop, community project, lovely people

great cause

I was here for a work AGM and everything was great.
It was very limited the day I was there but it was before lunch. It's worth supporting as it's trying to change attitudes toward food poverty.

Pros: cause, people

Good food for a good cause

I've been in here a few times and there's usually a soup or a hot food dish that's vegan. I've never seen any meat in there; all food has been donated or intercepted in some way and would otherwise be going into landfill. It's worth popping in if you're about the East End and making a small donation back into the venue.

They have a small area where you can take any food sitting out for grabs, some of it will be out of date but edible. Take it up to the counter so they can weight it for their records.

Pros: Helping to save the planet , Places value on food, Great community space

Cons: Opening hours restrictive (but understandable)
