Carolina BBQ 😍 - Edit
I got the Carolina bbq sandwich and it was amazing! My Omni husband had a bite of my sandwich I got for delivery before he went out to a traditional BBQ restaurant. When he came back, he said mine was better than the meat sandwich he ordered at the other restaurant!

Taquitos - All You Need To Know - Edit
Order the Vegan Taquitos for your appetizer. Order them again as your entree. Order them again for dessert and then get an order to go. THAT'S how good they are and that's what I wish I would have done. They were seriously the best thing I ate the whole week I was in Raleigh - and I will be dreaming about them until I come back again. They are melt-in-your-mouth deliciousness with just the right amount of heat that become more addictive with each bite. I also ordered the Tempeh Tantrum which is billed as the "Winner of PETA's Top 5 Vegan Sandwiches in the USA" and, for the life of me, I cannot begin to understand why as it was tasteless and dry and boring. I also tried their chocolate cake which I (sadly) did not care for and was sooo disappointed as chocolate cake is one of my favorites! Also disappointing was the service: the restaurant was not even 1/3 full and, although we were seated promptly, we probably spent at least an hour waiting for food and service throughout our meal.

Great vegan and vegetarian options - Edit
This is a good option for a mixed company and has many vegan and vegetarian options. This is not health food by any means it is fast food and diner food but it is good for what it is. I recommend the fried broccoli and the soy buffalo wings and their vegan ranch is delicious. I've also had the tempeh tantrum, the vegan chicken and waffles, and the impossible burger which they have various styles and usually a special of the day. They have pretty good farmers plates and great drink options. The only real downside is they run out of things at times and don't tell you and the service is almost always exceedingly slow. But friendly!

Family Friendly with Lots of Vegan Choices - Edit
My entire little vegan family came here for lunch and were so thrilled that we came back a few hours later for some dessert and coffee. Literally everything we tried was delicious. Our one year old and four year old cleaned their plates! The wings are killer and if you don’t try the sopapilla cheesecake, you are WRONG. This place is worth a visit! So good!

So many vegan options and fun atmosphere - Edit
I’ve been here twice. Both times the staff were friendly and it had a fun atmosphere. The food was tasty!! Over the 2 times our group tried the Reuben: very tasty gave the flavor of the reAl thing, the tempeh sandwich: clear favorite of our group, the lasagna: made with beyond burgers so very “meaty”, the buffalo wings: flavor was good but served kind of room temp, could have been better. All the fries were cold, so that was unpleasant but overall, very good flavor and so many options. The vegan ranch is so delicious!!

No Bueno - Edit
I have to be honest in this review. It is only fair. I wish my dining experience was pleasant. I went in with a positive attitude and left disappointed. I ordered multiple items off the menu and set up for my review. Total disbelief. Maybe..... they were having an off day. The level of frustration increased with the arrival of each item. I wondered if there was a refrigeration issue??? The spicy Ginger Ale, iced tea & blueberry lemonade were refreshing. I’m a foodie so presentation is what I look at first and then everything else SHOULD fall into place. No. Not here. I can only photo what is in front of me. So.....let’s just say, I don’t have anything that would be helpful for boosting business as of now. I wish I did. Maybe I’ll give them a second chance when I’m back in NC for the Chinese Cultural Festival.

Amazing vegan options - Edit
Loved this place. So many vegan options, clearly marked on the menu. From Lasagna to Philly Fakesteak. We tried the Mac & Cheese, Crispy Brussel Sprouts & Chocolate Cake. They were delicious. All the desserts are vegan & homemade. I'll definitely be back again while in the area.

No Love - Edit
I ordered the vegan hot and gooey I substituted wheat bread for the biscuit and mayo for the gravy. The mayo was .75. Made no sense. The bread was toasted to a crisp. There was no love put into the food. The soy patties and cheese was just thrown on the bread. I didn’t take a picture because it went straight into the trash.
Read moreFood was cold. If I’m not mistaken it was just sitting there for a minute.
In the space where vegan restaurants are popping up, this is a bad representation.
It’s many vegan options, but there is no love in the food. The bartender was all over the place. They had her doing too much.
Pros: Vegan
Cons: Nasty and no love in food

Great place for your non vegan friends - Edit
I love Remedy because the menu is packed with vegan and non-vegan items alike. This make it a great place for your friends / family that are uncertain about vegan food. They can have something within their comfort zone, but also see that your food isn’t all that scary!

Cons: Parking , Charges for sides of sauce and what not

I’d give it 5 stars! - Edit
Waitstaff is super vegan knowledgeable. I ordered the Vegan No Huevos Rancheros (on field greens instead of tortillas- no problem). My dad ordered French toast, bacon, eggs and the waiter promptly asked “French toast with regular eggs or vegan? Regular bacon or vegan bacon?” Our waiter was great and refilled coffee and soda whenever it was low. My food was one of the best things I’ve ever had. The vibe in the restaurant was super friendly and accepting. I love this place. Shoulda gone back for dinner.

Bad first impression - Edit
Rating from our first and only visit, so take with a grain of salt.
Read moreWhile visiting from out of town and seeking local vegan food we stopped in for dinner. I think we caught them on a particularly bad night but we had a lousy experience. We waited 45 minutes for a table and at least another 45 between waiting to order and waiting for our food. Unfortunately, the food wasn't worth the wait: The vegan buffalo wings were flavorful but very tough and chewy, the prize-winning tempeh sandwich was bland, the fries were rubbery, and my wife didn't bother to finish the vegan mac (which never happens).
Pros: The vegan fried chicken was fairly good, and the blackened broccoli was excellent. The staff were also mostly polite despite probably having a terrible evening.
If I was local I'd cautiously give this another shot on a weeknight in a month or so. On our trip though, I wish we'd gone somewhere else.
Pros: vegan fried chicken, blackened broccoli, kind waitstaff
Cons: slow service, bland sandwich, rubbery fries

Good and Bad - Edit
In their old location, they were struggling - the space was too small and they had terrible wait staff. But the new location is a great size, the current staff is wonderful and attentive. The space is clean and awesomely decorated. It is a great option for those with non-veg friends or family who want meat and dairy options.
Read moreThe food has always been good. They're the only place in town that regularly carries the Impossible Burger so that's a big plus for those that are into it. I tried it once before I learned about the animal testing - it was pretty believably meaty which I didn't care for but my husband and our meat-eating friends enjoy it.
The good: DEFINITELY get their non-chicken buffalo wings - they are the bomb! Their vegan BBQ is really tasty, second only to Fiction Kitchen's. The meatball sub is a solid classic they do well.
The bad: Skip their mac n cheese - it isn't very cheesy and tastes more like coconut than anything else. The vegan BLT is a pretty unfulfilling and bland sandwich not worth the price. The ones I make at home for way cheaper are so much better. The vegan hot dog is on par with the BLT.
The ugly: I've tried most of the vegan options on their menu and so far haven't been impressed. Aside from the BBQ there were only two other things I liked: The vegan baked spaghetti which got replaced on the menu by the chick'n and dumplings that I also liked... Which has now been replaced with a non-vegan option. As it stands, the only things I now eat there are the non-chicken wings and the BBQ sandwich.
P.S. The dessert has always been good but now that they're up to $8 for a small slice, it just isn't worth the cost.
TL;DR: Good if you're with meat-eating friends or family. Solid vegan options are the meatball sub and BBQ sandwich. Always get the non-chicken wings and prepare for expensive dessert.

If you're in a hurry for food don't come here. Everything is made fresh to order and once you get your food you'll seriously appreciate the wait because it's so delicious. I heard about this diner from word of mouth and was curious to try their vegan wings (which are awesome, just wish you had an option for a dozen). I love this place. Check it out when you're in the area.
