The brownie was decent, but £12 for a small piece of toast and some salad? That's a bit sad. Needs a second piece of toast, and chips instead of salad (or at least the option).

Beautiful place, friendly staff! - Edit
We loved our stop here. Several vegan options and they all tasted very nice. I also want to highlight the excellent service. Our waiter was extremely friendly also when it came to our further requests and questions, for example double checked whether the soup of the day was vegan (it was!) including the bread and also gave us vegan butter.

The view from the restaurant is lovely. Lunchtime is very busy, we came slightly before and were lucky to get a table!

Cafe on a Loch - Edit
There were two vegan entrees available, I had the Cajun Pistachio and Chickpea burger, served with fries and a nice green salad. There were many baked goods available for dessert and I did see a vegan brownie that looked good but opted not to have dessert today.

On the shore of Loch Shin, this cosy cafe offers a few tasty vegan options, including a breakfast, a vegan bloomer, and (on the day of our visit), a vegan sponge cake.

Lovey little cafe! - Edit
Visited The Pier on the way through Lairg and had a really great meal and experience there. There were vegan options on the menu and also on the specials board. We both had a roasted squash & bulgar wheat salad from the specials board which was SO GOOD!
Read moreView is really lovely especially as it was a sunny day. The staff were all really pleasant and food came really quickly.
They had Oat & Soy milks for hot drinks and we took a slice of vegan sponge cake away too!
Would give 5 stars if Happy Cow allowed me to (not a fully vegan cafe so can’t!)
Definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area.

A delicious surprise - Edit
We visited The Pier in June 2021 for lunch after seeing it listed on Happy Cow and we were pleasantly surprised by it. They had quite a few vegan options marked on the menu (including one of the specials) and we really enjoyed the vegan ciabatta. They also had a delicious vegan cherry and almond cake (also gluten free) and both soya and oat milk were available for hot drinks. The view was lovely and the staff were great, Would highly recommend if you're in the area.
