The Inner Biscuit is located on trendy, and historic, Piper Street. It's inviting from the outside, with a large glass window looking out to the street, and people can sit in the window, outside or at one of the other tables inside.

The menu I found a bit limited. They have items such as brucchetta and soup (it was winter). But I think the real focus here is on the sweets. Many cakes and slices to chose from. Including, on the day I visited, two vegan slices. Of course they have biscuits as well! I noticed that you can order a whole cake with three days notice.

The coffee was dreadful. But the hot chocolate, all made on site, was nice. A good range of herbal teas are on the menu. They use all free range, local produce where ever possible and also have their own vegie garden.

Nice vibe inside and really busy. Prices are reasonable and service is friendly and helpul.

Pros: vegan friendly, friendly service

For a delicious vegetarian or vegan snack . . .

The Inner Biscuit is a snacky brunch, lunch and cake shop. It's in Piper Street, Kyneton, a street of many restaurants and cafes, and most with vegetarian options on the menu. But this one has a vegetarian chef and when she says something is vegan or vegetarian, she knows what she's talking about. Vegetables are organic. The place is small and the menu isn't extensive, but things can be modified. We were told that the meat items (chorizo and ham) are added to make the place more meat-eater friendly. Come on vegetarians - let the Inner Biscuit know that there's enough of us out there to take the meat off the menu!

Pros: vegan options, dishes modfied to order, delicious food!

Cons: small, limited menu, some meat in some dishes
