Their milkshakes are a bit watery and nothing what they look like in the pictures on FB. My husband and I got really sick from their gyros when we were there on Sunday. We experienced severe digestional distress for a day or two after eating there. Probably from the excessive use of whatever oil they use as we don’t use a lot at home. Don’t get me wrong, everything tasted really good, but the milkshakes were pathetic. Look, we love to find cute little vegan spots like this one and couldn't wait to try it out. Their food tasted really good other than the milkshakes, and I would totally go back and try something else. But I'd probably rather just go to Saint Pete for the variety and quality over this place. We are vegans and really fell in love with the quaint cute atmosphere there, and can definitely appreciate what they're doing by serving a lot of vegan foods. So I'm not discouraging anyone from trying it for themselves.
Update: Her and her husband went on to call me pathetic, stupid and a”very new vegan.”
And this is what happens when you can't handle constructive criticism.
I'm glad that at least some people have had the opportunity to see what she's about because this was never even about her or her business just about my personal experience. If I ever visit an establishment that I don't like I will review it, and if I visit one that I love I'll post that too. Why? Because of freedom of speech and because I appreciate reading reviews that other people leave on businesses that I want to visit.
I in no way attacked this person personally. I even encouraged people to try their food. Just because it made us sick doesn't mean it will make you sick, maybe we just aren’t used to foods saturated in oil. I've been a vegan for two years and I've never gotten sick from seitan. Hopefully she'll learn that it's typically bad business to call customers names. Come to find out, they aren’t even vegans themselves. Look up their personal Yelp accounts.
