I went here twice during my stay in the area. There’s no host, so seat yourself and they’ll bring you a menu. Might take a few minutes, but after that the service was really good, and my meals came quickly.
Read moreThe food is filling and really hits the spot. I had the delux burger on my first visit and the garden wrap with tempeh bacon on my second visit. Both were good and the veg seemed fresh. I also got the lemon cake to go one night. It was the perfect balance of sweet and moist.

Tasty Mexican / American Diner - Edit
The Grain Cafe has a varied menu with waffles, pancakes, tofu scrambles, crepes, and Mexican breakfast things like Chilaquiles and vegan Huevos Rancheros. The dinner menu also has a variety of both American and Mexican diner type food such as sandwiches and chiles rellenos. Overall I don’t think they’re making super high end fancy food, just accessible tasty and convenient vegan fare. Would definitely go back!

Best vegan breakfast burrito in town - Edit
You can't go wrong with any of Grain Cafe's breakfasts - waffles, pancakes, breakfast sandwiches. But what really shines is the breakfast burrito with its side of potatoes, a true vegan tofu beauty in a world of overpriced Just Egg options on omni menus. The mint lemonade is a strongly flavored go-to, and the wellness shots are a must when you're feeling under the weather. I've liked everything I've tried on the menu, and you must love a vegan place with cake.

I recommend their Mexican food the most, but everything is really good. Every time I come here I get something different.
I have had their Huevos Mexicanos (breakfast), Chorizo scramble (breakfast), dragon roll (appetizer), tuna melt (sandwich), torta (sandwich), chicken enchiladas (dinner), wet burrito (dinner), and all of the taco flavors.
For drinks I have had their iced latte with soy creamer and that was perfect! It tasted so good and it kept me energized all day. I have had their vega sport protein shake and that definitely fills me up and tastes great without that chalky protein powder flavor. I have had the charged smoothie and the beet flavor comes through which I love, but it may be too earthy for others. I have had their ginger lemonade and the Jamaica drink and both are delicious and not very sweet.
I think my favorite food so far has to be the chorizo scramble, but I haven't gotten something bad yet!
My favorite drink is the Vega sport because I know I'm getting good protein for the day.
I have also tried several of the cake flavors.
Tres leches and coconut cake are my favorites.
The green tea cake has always been a little too dry unfortunately because it looks awesome. The lemon saffron was decent too, but not my favorite. I need to try their chocolate cake and strawberry cake too but I haven't gotten to them yet.
This place is diner style with a large menu. They have everything from Breakfast to dinner and the portions are large. Everything is made fresh to order. The verde sauce is my favorite over the roja or mole sauce. There is something for everyone and it is very filling! I wish I had a restaurant like this close to where I live, but while I'm working out here I'll be a frequent and regular customer.

Solid vegan spot with a huge all-day menu that makes it hard to choose just one thing. They’ve got all the comforting staples—waffles, pancakes, French toast, crepes, burritos, sandwiches, burgers, pizza, etc. I arrived at breakfast and went with the breakfast burrito, plus nachos to go, and both were flavorful, filling, and hit the spot for my hungover drive back to the desert. If you’re in the area and want a dependable vegan meal with lots of variety, The Grain Cafe is definitely worth a stop.

Huge selection of salads, sandwiches, entrees and desserts. I had the burger with a side of potatoes and a blondie for dessert. Everything was delicious and fresh. Staff was very helpful. Will return!

I have eaten here before, years ago. I don’t really remember what I had. I stopped in here for an early lunch today, and they were only serving breakfast so I got their breakfast special, which was hashbrowns, scrambled tofu, sausage links, and a plate of pancakes. It was pretty good.

My husband and I love eating here. We usually come for breakfast. There are so many delicious options. The staff here are so nice. The food is presented like art. We usually eat here once a month. Their coffee is delicious. Their wraps are delicious. They have many delicious desserts. We can't stay away. We love this place.

Had the veggie crepe with red potatoes. The crepe was large & was stuffed with fresh spinach, mushrooms, peppers & zucchini. It was so good and the garlic aioli sauce was the perfect enhancement with a little tang. Also ordered Huevos Rancheros and really enjoyed the dish.

Great food, with many different menu items to choose from so that even our kids (who can be picky every now and then) found things they liked. The service was friendly and helpful too and the prices fair. Definitely recommended for eating out as a family.
Read moreOne thing that could be made clearer on the menu is that everything is in fact 100% vegan, as descriptions like "chicken" could just as well refer to meat. The menu does include the word vegan in the title, but it is not clear enough in my opinion that this refers to all food served there.

The food is fresh, the recipes excellent, the restaurant clean and vibrantly decorated, and the people friendly! There’s a big menu selection, they serve lunch and dinner. We were there for breakfast and the omelette was terrific and the waffles were light and flavorful.

It's nothing fancy, but it is definitely a family spot to go to, and maybe introduce your non-vegan family members to Vegan food that really is traditional and brings the classics such as grilled cheese or Ruben sandwiches but with a cruelty-free taste :)
The service is very good and fast.
The various locations have their charm and are very cute.
