Read moreI was super excited to come here, especially with their separate vegan menu. When I arrived, I was told by the staff that they don’t have a vegan menu anymore. The only option is a Beyond Burger. I like a good vegan burger here and there, but I had my fair share. I was incredibly disappointed. I still gave this place 3 stars because at least I could still dine here if I want a burger, and they have great outdoor seating. Wilmington is still in need of more vegan options for dining. Bring back the vegan menu!

The setting was gorgeous but the Vegan Luv soup was disappointing. I ordered a bowl and it was a very little portion, served in a very shallow soup bowl. There may have been five chickpeas in the serving. I had a salad to go with it and left hungry.

It's hard to dispute the beautiful view and people watching opportunity this place provides, and the ability to bring my dog would be reason enough to go if this place didn't taste great, but it does!! Both the Beyond burger and a vegan soup are labeled as the only distinct options for vegans. Opting for the Beyond burger, I was extremely impressed with the tasty char the burger itself had. I had never been a fan of these big brand name meat alternatives until this meal, and while it (thankfully) lacks the grease of a beef patty, it had a similar char and stood out on its own with a great flavor. The bread it came on was also delicious, as were the French fries. My only complaint is the price, but thats normal for the location and ambience.

The George no longer offers a separate vegan menu as described in the two reviews from 2017. The tacos and tofu scramble mentioned in the previous reviews aren’t on the menu anymore. What they do offer is two Beyond Burger options (one salad one burger) and a third choice. There are also a few other menu options that can be made vegan.
Read moreI got the salad which was good if you are a fake meat fan. On the plus side, the restaurant has a great location, free parking and really nice waterfront outdoor seating.

This is a cute little place right on the river front. They offer a completely separate vegan/GF menu which was wonderful! The tofu tacos were awesome. The portion is huge, so I had plenty to take home. Great place, great service

This wonderful riverfront property in historic downtown Wilmington has a separate menu for vegan and gluten free. Enjoy the vegan brunch options on weekends and sunset view of the famous battleship all other days. The vegan tacos are huge.
