Mediocre vegan food, but more options than other places in town

The vegan options on the menu sounded good but the actual food was pretty average. I ordered Beyond Breakfast Sausage with Avocado Toast. The avocado spread was on lightly-toasted, thin nine-grain bread that seemed straight out of a bag from the grocery store. The avocado spread was just that - no freshly ground salt and pepper, or chili oil drizzle, chopped tomatoes or micro greens or anything else that often comes on avocado toast at trendier places. The Beyond Breakfast Sausage was just that - two pieces of vegan sausage on the plate. No effort to dress any of the dish up at all. Though it wasn’t “delicious”, it wasn’t bad. And considering that few restaurants in Macon have any vegan options, “fine” is better than nothing.

The service was very prompt and cheery. The tables are covered with cute retro oilcloth table wraps and there were murals on the walls, which made for a nice atmosphere.

Pros: Cheery service, Fun retro atmosphere

Cons: Mediocre preparation of vegan options
