Delicious vegan dinner

We had the vegetarian/vegan dinner which was a delicious curry with vegetables, chickpeas, and tofu served with rice and plantains. The owner runs a weekly reading club for kids, and visiting sailors volunteer to help. Easy access from either of the nearby dinghy docks. We were very happy to support this local business.

Pros: Delicious vegan option, Welcoming local business, Beautiful setting on the water

Delicious freshly cooked food

There is a vegan option on the menu which was delicious. Tofu, chickpeas and spices in a coconut milk based sauce. We also went at breakfast time and they made me a lovely dish with breadfruit. Difficult to find vegan options on Bequia so this was a welcome find. Also the setting is beautiful.

Go here in Bequia

The vegan option was amazing, Roti with potatoes, callalou, spinach, split peas and chickpeas, spiced and flavoured to perfection.

Great Atmosphere

The Vegetarian Dinner was vegan and very filling. This is not just a place for tourists as lots of locals come to hang out at this mother and daughter owned restaurant. Food was tasty and the plate was pilled high!

Pros: friendly staff, large portion

Cons: limited options

Fantastic food and service

Byt the end of the walkway by the water you find this wonderful place. We had to wait over 1 hour to get our food, but once it came we forgot all about it...We had the Callalo soup, a caribbean version of spiniach soup that was mild and tasty. We also ordered the Cream of Split Pea soup that was nutty and a bit gingery, very flavorful with the coconut milk in it. For main dish we had the Vegetarian Dinner (that actually is vegan) and it was rich and filing - salad, caribbean chick pea stew and vegtable and mushed chick peas.

The owner family invited all of us to dance while waiting for the food...we had a lot of fun and look forward to coming back! By the time we left (around 8 pm) a live band came to play covers with a caribbean flair.

Pros: Great food, Equally great & friendly service, Beautiful location by the water

Cons: Long wait for food
