Would definitely go back again (and again) - Edit
We went to The Bay on a previous visit to the Isle of Wight and made it a priority to go back next time we were on the island. The food is lovely, with a good variety of options. The friends we went with had a freshly baked pudding, which was divine! You get service with a smile. We’ll definitely go back. Oh! And cocktails!

Amazing roast dinner - Edit
On Easter Sunday they had a reduced menu so a variety of options as a roast dinner. I had the Mediterranean tart and my husband had the wellington, and it came with so many veggies, roast potatoes, stuffing and a delicious mushroom and leek gravy. So tasty. Couldn’t resist taking home a piece of cake for later.

Wow ... choices for Vegans!! - Edit
We have been to The Bay a few times now but my review is really about the Sunday Lunch experience we enjoyed recently. Two course, three courses, what sort of 'roast', what pudding .... yes, there are a lot of choices to be made. And that is the point of my writing this. As a vegan, lets face it .. its usually a pie or an insipid curry and when you get offered choices ...its a bit overwhelming! That is a the true joy of a vegan only eatery ... if they list it, then you can order it. In the end we ordered too much and had to take pudding home but that was our fault. Everything was lovely and the price very reasonable.
Read moreSerious bit now. We've just lost one vegan only place on the island, so we really have to support those that are left. I can tell from The Bay Facebook pages that they are putting a lot of effort in to keeping themselves busy and open. These are tough times for all businesses and households but if you can .... get down and have a meal here.

Great find - Edit
We stumbled across this place during a visit to the Isle of Wight. Great array of food options. I had the salad and would definitely recommend. The owner Mel was in on her day off with her parents but still was helping her staff. She introduced me to this app. Very passionate lady. Great place for families.

I can't decide whether the staff or food is the best thing about The Bay. We had a lovely meal prepared and served by the owner and staff who clearly love what they do. And to top it off, it is great value. No doubt we will return.

We went to the Bay 3 times in the space of 48 hours on our trip to the Isle of Wight.
Read moreMel and her team are so lovely and even sorted out a scrummy surprise birthday cake for my wife.
The food is tasty and freshly cooked. The poke bowls are very generous portions and full of good stuff!
But best of all is the welcome you will get at the Bay. It was lovely chatting to Mel and some of the other diners, and we learned loads about some of the other vegan attractions on the Isle of Wight.
I hope to return next time I'm on the island.
Pros: Warm welcome, Run by passionate vegans, Tasty food

Nice sandwhichs - Edit
We popped in just before closing so we got some take away. I got a polish croissant which was delicious with chese and ham and a chocolate caramel cake. Unfortunately i couldnt really taste and cheese and the cake was bit too dry. However. Overall i think it was nice simple food made well and i would definitely go back if i was in the area. The dinner menu seemed quite different than lunch menu so that would be interesting to try.

Our favourite cafe whilst on holiday - Edit
We ended up going to The Bay 3/4 mornings we were on holiday, it would have been 4/4 but they are not open on Mondays 😊 Mel (the owner) was so nice and so were all the staff, very relaxed atmosphere. Food was delicious, although I only managed to get a picture of our drinks as we devoured the food as soon as it came out. The giant crumpet, mushrooms and bacon was really tasty as was the scramble tofu on sourdough. The show stopper had to be the jumbo hotdog with crispy onions 🤤 The croissant bread is also delicious and if there’s not a flavour combo on the menu that you would like and The Bay has the ingredients then they will whip it up for you. I asked if they could make me a vegan BLT to take with me on the road and Mel was so accommodating and it even tasted yummy hours later. We will definitely be back when we next visit the island ☺️
