Get the seitan wings !

My family had dinner at Angry Baker recently, and had such a great experience. The staff was really nice and attentive. We really enjoyed everything that we ordered especially the seitan wings! The mushroom po boy was fantastic, too!

Pros: Lots of vegan options, Nice staff

Good- depending on the day

The Angry Baker has some issues it needs to sort out. Even with their very limited hours, they still can't seem to stay open. Make sure to call right before you go to make sure they're actually open. They also run out of items pretty often.

What is good though is their vegan rueben, the buffalo seitan sandwich, and the daily soups.

They're typically very crowded and the wait time is long.

Make sure to order coffee from the shop next door, The Bitter Barista.

Excellent Vegan Food

Creative atmosphere with creative selection. 75% of the menu is vegan, and nearly 100% of the food can be made vegan.

Love this cute cafe!

Upon first glance the comfort foods that they offer veganized are extremely tempting. And they are certainly done very well.
The seitan and waffles is phenomenal. I have never had better mock-chicken.
I got the biscuits and gravy having never eaten the non vegan version and it was everything I wanted it to be.
I haven't been to the original location but this restaurant is more than satisfactory. I need to come back here. The owner is super cool she chatted with us about upcoming events. I hope this location stays open for a lot longer because it is in kind of a weird spot and I don't usually see a lot of people in there.
It closes a little bit early in the day but I get it, it is a breakfast/lunch cafe. I work nights so it's hard for me to get out at that time!
5 stars!

Pros: Delicious food, Very nice staff, Occasional events!

Cons: Hours! :(

Great brunchy grub

I went here a few times and had to force myself to try something other than the delicious sweet potato pancakes I had the first time. The sandwiches require a fork to eat and are super tasty! Great service and a great vibe!

Pros: mostly veg options, bakery/café attached!, nice staff

Cons: on-street parking

some of the best breakfast food anywhere

Highly recommended especially if you like breakfast/brunch. They are right next to the OSU campus and connected to a really quaint/good local coffee shop next door.

Quick Sunday lunch

Went here to meetup with another vegan friend for a quick lunch before they graduated. They had a good selection of vegan options and a light, friendly environment. I ordered the "Buffalo Chicken" sandwich, and it was quite delicious. The seitan was a good texture and overall there was a lot of food on my plate. I like my food really spicy, so I felt that they were a bit light with the hot sauce but that it a totally personal preference.

A wonderful option for breakfast and lunch.

Excellent

I had the Thai Salad for lunch here, and it was super tasty. Everything's a bit on the pricier side for a student budget, but my salad was decently large and I had leftovers. The atmosphere is really nice, both inside and on the patio, and I'll definitely be coming back!

Tasty Brunch Spot!

Stopped at The Angry Baker one Sunday afternoon and was quickly seated at the bar, despite how busy the restaurant was. It looked like they had lots of vegan options on the menu but I was feeling extra voracious so I ordered what sounded like the biggest item on the menu- the knife and fork burrito. I told the waiter I'm vegan and he happily subbed tofu for egg and put in my food order sans cheese.

The atmosphere is cool and the staff was friendly enough, and they didn't bother me too much as I read my book. I enjoyed checking out the stuff they had behind the bar and I thought it was pretty funny that they were playing Thomas the Tank Engine silently on the TV to the soundtrack of rock music.

The food was nicely spicy and hit the spot. I also ordered a juice that came in a tiny little glass and didn't taste that fresh, unfortunately. After eating my meal, I stepped next door to check out the bakery and I was so excited to learn that most of their desserts were vegan! I got a delicious, heavy sticky bun to go and tossed it in my bike's basket for the trip home.

I ate it literally, like, the instant I got there. Worth it.

Pros: Nice bar space, Great pastries, Easy vegan substitutions

Cons: Crowded space, Small beverage sizes

amazing!

Hubby had oyster mushroom po boy. I had pumpkin oat pancakes. Stopped by bakery counter for vegan power cookies and vegan muffins. Can't say more about the food and the service. Love this place.
