A great little place for our date night, and we loved the whole concept. Great food, amazing cocktails, lovely service. The music was also really great, and we were so happy to find a link to their playlist. Really hope to come back for another visit before leaving Rio, because I want to try more of the menu.

Good food close to Ipanema beach - Edit
Atmosphere was reasonable, the mushroom burger I had was delicious. My Omni partner had some pasta dish and really enjoyed it. The chocolate cake dessert was not the greatest however, too much strong dark chocolate syrup, the ice cream that came with it was yum.

Best vegan restaurant in Rio! - Edit
Teva is my top choice if you're looking for an incredible gastronomical experience in Rio! When I spoke with the head chef, Daniel, he told me that their aim was not to be the 'best vegan restaurant in the city'. Rather, he sought to be the 'best restaurant in the city'. Its plant based ethic is subtle, and the menu is focused on using seasonal, local produce to create exquisite food, rather than to conform to the conventions of 'typical' healthy/vegan food. The menu is curated, with just a few options per course. This is intentional. Focusing on just a few dishes means that each one is artfully created, perfected in every aspect from taste to presentation. Even so, one will find it difficult to choose a dish, since all are so exquisite! I recommend going in a group and ordering family-style if possible, so that you may try a little of everything. I went on two occasions, both in the evening, so was unable to try their lunch menu (though I heard it's fantastic). Very yummy food in a top location near ipanema beach, however I did find it a little pricy considering the portion size (or maybe I just ordered the wrong thing) . The menu has a few options designed for sharing and a couple of daily specials too.

I had the homemade lasagne and my friend the burger with a side of potatoes (basically potato wedges with a sauce on top) - both tasted incredible and we were really satisfied. The staff were really polite and accommodating. It is expensive however; although on par with other venues in the vicinity.

Very cozy place, menu with very attractive options. I had the hamburger and found it a bit tasteless. For my taste the burger, the potato gnocchi and the rice that comes with the portobello steak lacked seasoning (considerably). I enjoyed the bolinho de baião de dois, the beet ketchup and the tap kombucha is delicious.

There is a good range of interesting meals and an extensive drinks and cocktail selection. Excellent service. Not sure the prices are warranted but it’s a hip venue. If you’re after less expensive and wholesome options try Spazziano in Ipanema at lunchtimes.

I just went to Teva for the first time and absolutely loved it there! We ordered the Spicy Tofu, Ceviche, Gobi Manchurian, Eggplant Curry, and Tuscan Salad. The Gobi Manchurian was definitely my favorite dish out of all, followed by the Spicy Tofu. The salad wasn't exactly what I expected as there seemed to be more tomatoes than greens, but it wasn't bad at all.

My S.O. and I first visited this restaurant in June of 2017. For the 5 months we spent in Rio, every weekend required a visit to this place; there's a reason why they have earned a spot in an article awarding the "Top 10 Vegan Restaurants in the World"! Absolutely amazing food and service. Would recommend it with all my heart. We tried every item in the menu throughout the months and our favorites are the Spicy Tofu, Spinach Ravioli, Burger and Potato Wedges, Toffee Cake and whatever the soup of the day is -- always delicious and filling.

We thoroughly enjoyed our lunch of pad Thai R$45 and shiitake mushroom steak with broccolini and potatoes R$45. There was also a deal for R$70 each including an appetiser, main and dessert but we wanted other dishes not included. We also had a chocolate brownie R$30 and sticky toffee pudding R$30. Stunning flavours! Such a relief to finally experience real vegan food in Rio! Pricey but worth it. Highly recommend!

This is the place you want to go out for a great dining experience, while enjoying great healthy, natural food. We had a nice chat with the chef, (fluent in English :) while he lived and cooked in New York as well. He's very passionate about his business being both trendy and eco-friendly (which it really both is).

In some vegan restaurants the focus on being a 'vegan restaurant' can take too much of the focus and have less eye for atmosphere and a good vibe. This place really balances this out nicely. We ate there yesterday. And today :-) Therefore we'd recommend it to anyone up for a great dinner experience in Ipanema, vegan or not.
