A great little place for our date night, and we loved the whole concept. Great food, amazing cocktails, lovely service. The music was also really great, and we were so happy to find a link to their playlist. Really hope to come back for another visit before leaving Rio, because I want to try more of the menu.

We got there late on Friday night and it was full. They quickly accommodated us with some new tables outside ...we were a group of 5. We shared appetizers and mains and deserts as well. The spicy Tofu, the mushroom carpaccio and and and ...the apple pie at the end. It was all extremely delicious. The service and friendliness is also five stars. When in Rio, this is a must.

We absolutely loved Teva! They were super accommodating, setting up a table for us outside, because it was full inside! The owner/chef (I’m not too sure) came over to our table and had a chat and recommended a few dishes. Everything we tried was delicious, would definitely come again!!

Teva... what should I say, I LOVED that place. Food is simply outstanding, cocktails are amazing, the staff is super friendly and attentive and the restaurant has a nice style. Would fully recommend everyone to go!

I went out wirh my mum- wanted good vegan food that she might enjoy too. Over all food was good - the service not so good. Not attentive which at the end killed the mood a bit. And made me just want to go without some dessert.

One of Rio’s Overall Best - Edit
SO. F-ING. GOOD. Eat here even if you’re not veg/vegan. I’m a spoiled New Yorker with access to some of the best vegan restaurants in the world. Honestly, Matthew Kenny could learn something from the plant-based restaurateurs of Rio; Teva being THE one. The food here just worked. Everything was fresh. Everything was flavorful. Nothing left me hoping for more. And, it’s accessible / affordable / comfortable. I would give six stars if the app allowed it.

Without a doubt the best vegan meal we have had during our trip to Brazil! The food was exciting and delicious. The staff were very friendly and knowledgeable about the food and gave great recommendations to us and guided us through the menu as we don’t speak Portuguese. Definitely recommend and can’t wait to go back at the end of our trip!

Our food highlight of Rio - Edit
We had an incredibly good meal at Teva. The all vegan menu was perfect, and the clearly marked dietary restrictions (specifically gluten-free) was very useful. Jackfruit tacos were especially delicious, but it was all impressively good. Great atmosphere and service. The food highlight of our trip to Rio.

Eating at Teva was a highlight of our trip to Rio. Everything we ordered was delicious and not the usual vegan choices you see at less imaginative restaurants. The mushroom carpaccio appetizer was probably my favorite. We'll definitely come back to Teva when we return to Rio.

What a complete gem of a place! Very friendly staff, super fast service. I was impressed by the speed of the chefs. I have travelled all over the world and visited vegan restaurants everywhere. This one could easily fit into my top 5.

O Teva é o melhor restaurante que eu já fui, e quando digo melhor, não digo melhor vegano, digo melhor de todos. A batata com queijo de tremoços e o Tiramisu são surreais, e o risotto caprese também. Porém, como é sazonal, pode ser que saiam do cardápio (o que é uma coisa boa, porque dá pra escolher as opções do cardápio de olhos fechados). Não é super barato, mas é mais barato do que se espera um restaurante com a filosofia e qualidade que o Teva tem. Qualquer pessoa que paga por um Balada Mix ou Outback poderiai pagar pelo Teva (e sair mais feliz)

The food was amazing! I got there right when it opened and I’m glad I did it got so busy! I ordered the vegan Wellington and the brownie and both were super tasty! (And they didn’t take too long to prepare) They also provide “house water” so you don’t have to buy a water bottle and can save the plastic! We had a great experience here. People were friendly and the environment was nice. Has a nice atmosphere for couples. Food was good and creative (which I always consider a plus in vegan restaurants), but still some meals are a bit overpriced to Brazilian standards (no wonder there are many foreigners there).

I would not call this place “upscale.” In fact, it’s very informal, much like a spot one would don’t in NYC’s East Village or Le Marais in Paris. It has great a atmosphere, super nice staff, and absolutely delicious plant-based food. Do go.

Had the fried mushrooms which legit looked like KFC! Very very good. You must try this! The curry we had was lovely, but not as spicy as I would have liked, but that is personal preference. It was still really nice. I had koftas which were nice in themselves but felt they needed something else because there was not much else to the dish. But the selection of food was lovely and he venue was cute and romantic. Would def recommend!
