A great little place for our date night, and we loved the whole concept. Great food, amazing cocktails, lovely service. The music was also really great, and we were so happy to find a link to their playlist. Really hope to come back for another visit before leaving Rio, because I want to try more of the menu.

Amazing food and great service - Edit
I just went to Teva for the first time and absolutely loved it there! We ordered the Spicy Tofu, Ceviche, Gobi Manchurian, Eggplant Curry, and Tuscan Salad. The Gobi Manchurian was definitely my favorite dish out of all, followed by the Spicy Tofu. The salad wasn't exactly what I expected as there seemed to be more tomatoes than greens, but it wasn't bad at all.
Read moreThe atmosphere was quite chill and the fact that it opens until late Sunday is a huge plus as many vegan/vegetarian places in Rio don't do that. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a really nice and high-quality vegan meal. This area is one of the safest in the city, too.

Convenient Location, Good Breakfast, Must-Try Burger 👍 - Edit
We stayed right above Teva Bistrô at our Airbnb, so it was less than a 30-second walk for us. We ate here once for breakfast and once for dinner, and both visits were worth it.
Read moreFor breakfast, the standout was the croissant sandwich with scrambled tofu and cashew cheese. We removed the additional cheese and cold cuts, and it was perfect just like that. The tofu and cashew cheese combination was balanced and flavorful. The portobello mushroom Benedict had great toppings, though the bread wasn’t our favorite.
We ordered the famous Brazilian cheese bread for the experience. It wasn’t something we personally loved, but it’s fun to try at least once.
For dinner, the best item was the Teva Burger. The mushroom grain patty was delicious and very satisfying — definitely the highlight of the meal.
It gets very busy after 8PM, so plan accordingly. The decor and vibe are really nice, modern, and welcoming. They also have a sister brunch spot called Teva Deli.
Would recommend checking it out if you’re in Rio.

This place is not far from my apartment while visiting Rio. It has a lovely atmosphere with indoor and outdoor tables. Friendly and approachable staff and good tasty vegan friendly food and drinks.
Read moreI had a few mocktails, a main meal and dessert as an early dinner on my first night in Rio. My favourite mocktail is the Fresa, especially with the ginger foam. For a main I had Mexican enchiladas, and also for dessert I had the sticky toffee banana cake. I found the enchiladas to be very tasty and enjoyed my meal.

Modernes und urbanes komplett veganes Restaurant in Ipanema. Absolute Empfehlung, als Veganer*in muss man eh hin, aber hier kann man auch gut alle anderen mitnehmen. Eher gehobene Preise für brasilianische Verhältnisse, aber absolut okay. Eher Bistro mäßig eingerichtet und nicht besonders groß, aber das Essen ist höchstes Regal. Hatte die piamontese cudlets und die waren verdammt lecker, hätte am liebsten die ganze Karte hoch und runter gegessen.

Went three times and it’s probably one of the best places in Rio. So happy to find an organic place!
Read moreFirst time I simply take awayed the Burmese rice which was great!
Second time I went with my mum and first we had mocktails (I was psyched to find they had one based on coconut water! 😍) and then dinner. We shared the Mexican Enchilada and the Tempeh kebab with thai quinoa. The enchilada had a store brought cheese with weird ingredients, but was good apart from that (stuffed with lentils and jackfruit 😋). Only thing was it came with way too little guacamole - like the double amount would still have been to little 😬 Tempeh skewers were great - really tasty with the pineapple, and the quinoa was good. It all came with a edamame whip which was quite tasteless (I didn’t mind, but my mum did).
Third time we brought dad too and started with drinks, then both my parents had the Burmese rice (which they loved). I had the Parrillada (chargrilled veggies with spicy sauce) and Chermoula hummus. They forgot the potato in the Parrillada, which was a bummer as that was the only filling part. Hummus tasted kind of off, as if the beans were old, and despite asking them to not put extra oil on they did. Still though, staff was really nice and I had a nice time.
Wish they would have sugar free desserts, but that’s my only negative comment. Would definitely recommend AND come back myself 😊

I am sorry you we're disappointed by the Parrilada, but potatoes are not always available on that dish (hence the observation to consult on the side). The veggies change according to availability. We will make sure to address the other points brought up to improve the overall experience.

Good but don't go with too much expectations - Edit
I searched for the best vegan restaurant in Rio and decided to go in this one. Checked the menu and chose the 'special of the day', which was 95 reais. The 'bean salad' was ok, the cupuaçu dessert was good and the main course was half just ok (brocoli rice and french fries) and the parmegiana seitan was very good. Not sure if the issue was the option I chose or the fact that I went there with kinda high expectations. I would go back there to try something different but wouldn't get the same thing. Maybe going with less expectation can help.

Near Ipanema beach, a small trendy vegan restaurant. Some staff spoke English and as menu in English there were no issues. Lovely quirky setting. We had the ‘cheese’ platter to start and this was amazing. Then the seitan which was huge and we could not manage even half of it so no room for desert which was a shame. We had a jug of sangria which was quite pricey and didn’t taste very alcoholic so overall a lovely experience and well worth visiting but maybe a bit over priced for Rio

Was most looking forward to this restaurant on our trip to Rio and was not disappointed. Was able to communicate with staff with a little help from Google translate. They were very helpful and attentive. I got the seitan dish and ate every bite. Got the tiramisu to go and had it for breakfast the next day. Five stars all around ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️

Incredible and delicious flavors and great staff. We tried the Korean spiced seitan, raviolone and piamontese cutlets (seitan and risotto) and we loved everything. The risotto was the best I’ve had. The portions are perfect.
