Coffee shop offering plant-based milk for drinks and a selection of vegan pastries, including cake and muffins. Most pastries are vegan and rotate frequently. Open Mon-Sun 6:00am-8:00pm.
Coffee and pastries are incredible here. They have all non dairy options as well as one of the most incredible gf vegan pastries I’ve had. I got the apple streusel loaf and it was super moist I was in love. The workers were very friendly and accommodating!
Not a Huge Temple Fan, But Happy It’s There - Edit
It’s your typical Temple experience, just not open as late as Sac.
They have dairy-free milk options for almost all drinks to make them vegan. Typically about ~50% of their pastries at any given time are vegan. And of course marked up 50%, Temple style ™️
Put simply: If you like Temple, you’ll enjoy this one!
Now I do have a few nitpicks:
1) In light of many cafes dropping their dairy surcharge, I would love to see Temple drop theirs.
2) Even if they drop it, it’s still too expensive for the quality you’re getting (I’ll die on this hill)
3) I don’t find this Temple to be a good working environment. I’ve coined their seating arrangement as “the assembly line” - as it’s generally a row of 15 synchronized people slouched over in non-ergonomic bar seating, designed for form over function. If you’re on a laptop I encourage you to bring a laptop stand to help out your back.
