Restaurante Telurico is vegan buffet restaurant located in the heart of the city. Offers hot soup in the winter time. Busy during meal hours. Reported closed to HappyCow.
The restaurant is located in the heart of the city, if you want to visit some historical and traditional places it's perfect to get some fuel to do so. It's a buffet restaurant, all vegan. The chef Marcia create various dishes with ingredients that you wouldn't think that mixed so good together.
Try the mayonnaise if it's available, it's so good.
In the winter they have 3 types of soups.
In August 2013 the 2nd floor of the public market burned down, so unfortunately this place doenst exist anymore (I went to Porto Alegre in January 2014, a local confirmed that the restaurant has not opened in any other location in the city).
i often go to telurico. it gets too crowd around 1pm but if you get earlier you'll have a nice, calm and tasty lunch. when im not that hungry i also like to eat the sandwich with some juice that is fresh made.

Nice and quiet place in Porto Alegre Public Market. It is macrobiotic and well seasoned, but it is not totally organic anymore and now it's expensive.
