Good Indian Food!

We went there for lunch - not too busy, food still seemed quite fresh. Google Maps location is wrong, search for "Healthy U" instead, it's right next to it. (Healthy U is a vegan restaurant, you can also go there if you don't find enough vegan items at Roti Corner or to grab a cookie or some soy milk for dessert!). Back to the Indian restaurant: we had 5 vegetable curries, some kind of fried spring roll and roti prata. Everything was quite good, but certainly not the best Indian food I ever had - BUT after having quite boring philipino vegetable dishes or sometimes even only white rice with soy sauce for weeks this place was my paradise! Finally some a good amount of spices again :) (which you can also buy) We paid 430 php for two, which isn't as cheap as in other places, but still good value!

Pros: tasty

Cons: hard to find

Best Indian Restaurant

The owner and his wife are nice, kind and warm.
They gave us something to bring on the road free of charge.
The food is cook every morning and at night. They have varieties of Indian meal from dahl, samosa, roti, chapati and curried veggies.
They cater pure vegetarian food.

Pros: excellent food, friendly staff

Cons: location is far from downtown

Hi veggievince,
I think you misunderstood my post here.
This is my personal opinion only. My comments is based on my personal experience on this restaurant. Everyone has his own opinion. You can even write yours what is the best Indian restaurant based on your personal experience.

Indian Vegetarian Karendaria

Unless you go to Southwestern or live near here, it is a bit difficult to find. However, it is good that it is right next to Healthy U (vegan).

This is a typical Filipino karendaria style place. The food is already prepared and you can pick which dish you want. There is no a/c so it may be warm or hot. If you are not used to traveling in Asia and eating street food, please be warned, and take probiotics to avoid any possible intestinal issues.

The owner was friendly when we visited. We ordered some snacks (merienda) like roti (flat bread) served with ketchup curry (a unique indian-pinoy creation) and potato curry samosas. The roti was different from others I've had. It was fair. The samosa was really spicy, maybe a bit too spicy because it had large chunks of hot chili peppers in it. I did not get a chance to try the curries, which looked good.

Pros: good value, tasty, friendly owner

Cons: hard to find, no air con

Best vegan restaurant on the island!

This place is *amazing*. The staff were incredibly helpful, letting us sample dishes and offering their suggestions. The ambiance is quaint, with brightly painted walls and humble tables with benches. The food was incredibly cheap as mentioned above. We had more than enough food for 2 people and it was 250P! Everything we tasted was delicious, especially the samosas. Do not leave Cebu without eating here, you won't regret it!

Pros: excellent food, friendly staff, good price

small but tasty

Ask driver to take u to South Eastern Gym. Recently opened veg restaurant serves tasty food from Bain Marie: Dhal, veg curry, pakoras, etc. Make own yoghurt. No alcohol. Meal for 2 abt P200. Worth the trip Michael Tait 3/12

Pros: cheap, tasty, friendly owner

Cons: hard to find

More like really Inexpensive!

I paid around 6 USD for a drink, a roti, huge portion of rice, and 3 extra things that i have no idea what they are but they were delicious!
The restaurant is buffet style, so dont ask what it is just go for whatever looks good!. Apparently they make samosas every morning but they run out around 10 am.
The google maps directions are wrong, is actually in the same block than Healthy U.
Really good, friendly staff and cheap!

Pros: Friendly staff, cheap, good food
