I spent a lot of time in my couple months in Mexico questing for delicious veganized authentic tacos. There are two winners: this place and Gracias Madre. Gracias Madre is a taco stand and I recommend going there as well for an authentic taco stand experience and great tacos. Veguerrero tackles the other niche: a basic little hole-in-the-wall sit-down restaurant serving up killer tacos.
Read moreEverything here is vegan, and it’s outstanding. I don’t know how they’ve done it, but the soya meats are incredibly juicy, and not in the kinda watery way they often are. Indulgently, greasily, meatily juicy, and served in big old portions in each taco. If anyone would like to kidnap the chef and force him to reveal his secrets, I’d quietly be cheering you on.
It’s priced the same as a lot of non-vegan similar places in CDMX, so no real vegan tax here, either! Show up, order four tacos, realize the portions are large and you didn’t need that much food, and then eat them anyway. When you’re done and hate yourself, order two more because they’re too damn good not to. You’ll get into shape next year.

I made a point of visiting as vegan/plant-based eateries are limited where I’m staying in Mexico City. Aside from the limited menu choice, the food was delicious, really inexpensive and staff were lovely. Will definitely try to go again before I leave

A popular vegan place with lots of mock meat options for traditional Mexican foods such as tacos and tortas. I am not a fan of the fake meats but I was very happy with my fried avocado tacos! Would have also loved to try the salad... Need to go back!

Didn’t know what a gringa was so I tried the 3 queso gringa. It was basically a double stacked quesadilla with vegan cheese and a plant based crumble. Very good doused with the house salsa. Partner had the chilaquiles and liked it.

Tasty, fully vegan fare at a great price. I spent about 70 pesos and got two tacos, aqua fresca and a slice of cheesecake. Great deal for for such good and filling food. The restaurant is small and seating is limited.

Tortas, gringas, tacos and great desserts. The flavors are good, and the service was fast.
