No Vegan Dinner Options - Edit
Not good. No vegan dinner options. Happy to Veganise a pizza but pizza base and sauce is not an ideal pizza.

Vegan by the Beach - Edit
It would appear Swell have listened to the community and have upgraded their vegan options.
Read moreThey’ve stopped just removing eggs or feta etc from dishes and are now replacing them with pumpkin, beans and mushrooms.
Well done Swell.
The service was great, the food was delicious, the only downside is that the food takes a looooong time to come out, so be prepared to wait!!

Nice little bfast - Edit
Had a nice little bfast. A few items that can be made vegan. I asked what the vegan option was as orginal meal had eggs and feta. Waiter wasnt sure so asked the chef who said they just give you more of everything else (avo, rocket, pumpkin). I asked could I replace with something else like a hashbrown, beans or mushroom. They allowed a mushroom. Has a nice view on the water. Overall, I wouldnt be rushing back but nice for them to have options.

Gone downhill in recent months - Edit
Updated based on last 2 experiences - as another reviewer said, lack of vegan knowledge, vegan cake served with dairy cream, rock hard avocado, over half of side salad comprised of mint leaves, previously amazing lemon cake was crusty, rock hard and tasted like it had be burnt in the freezer, slow service. Vegan brekky now no longer comes with pumpkin and baked beans (despite being advertised as such) - they just piled on even MORE tomatoes. Such a shame as this place was my go to for brekky and I recommended to everyone.
Read moreI also saw online someone else’s recent experience with their vegan pizza and it was appalling.
Previous review - Have always really enjoyed the breakfast and coffee at Swell. They often have lemon vegan cake too which is amazing. So over raw balls. My breakfast spot of choice in Perth for sure :)
Pros: Ocean views, Good coffee with plant milk options
Cons: Slow service, Lack of vegan knowledge , Food inconsistent

Not enough vegan dinner options - Edit
We ate here for dinnerjust prior to COVID closure. There are no vegan meals on menu but if you ask they can just modify 1 or 2 dishes and sadly you need to know to pre-order the house specialty dessert if you want it vegan...a massive big pavlova. So ring ahead to plan your vegan visit.

Good food put butter on my bread - Edit
You can make the veggie breakfast vegan and there are also a few other options I got the veggie breakfast and asked without the eggs and told them I was vegan and my bread came out with butter on it. Food was good otherwise
