Hidden Gem - 10 vegan flavours available !!!

Very exciting options for both vegans and non-vegans!

There is a window at the front to order ice cream from. However, you need to walk inside (door further along - to the right of the window) to actually see the vegan ice cream and cake options in a glass display cabinet.

For vegans - TEN flavours. Yes, oh plant based people, you read that right !!!. And even better… they’re not all sorbets !!!.

I only saw the option for a thick shake after I had ordered - there are a variety of non dairy milks available.

Labels displayed clearly - no need to ask. The options available had an extra flavour, as only 9 were listed online. Today’s choices were:

Sorbet: Mango, Lemon, Blackcurrant, Strawberry & Champagne, Raspberry

Creamy options (Contains coconut but no soya): Chocolate, Vanilla, Strawberry, Salted Caramel, Mint Chocolate Chip

I had a paper cup with 3 scoops: strawberry, salted caramel & mint chocolate chip. Mint being the strongest flavour, it overpowered the others. Not as creamy as ‘Swedish Glace’ or similar supermarket offerings, but still very nice. However, absolutely elated at more options than just ‘vanilla’ or ‘sorbet’. Would definitely have it again, but wouldn’t have 3 different flavours at once.

Vegan Cakes available were: blueberry bakewell & carrot cake

For non vegans who are with you - there is a unique machine that I have never seen anywhere. It is a ‘whippy’ dairy ice cream machine, but it incorporates the sauce flavour into the ice cream rather than the ice cream being plain and having sauce added afterwards. Haven’t added a photo of the non-vegan option (obviously), but there is a drawing on the board outside that I photographed so you can visualise what I mean !

The vegan ice cream supplier is:
https://www.marshfield-icecream.co.uk
So go check out their website for ingredients if you have any allergies or want to see their range. It looks like home delivery is available for upwards of 1 litre tubs. Expensive though, as this doesn’tinclude delivery charge - £7.00 1L, £16.00 2.4L

I was not aware of the numerous options until I went on their website. If you want ice cream in Felixstowe, this is the place to visit.
