It’s always nice to find vegan treats, I had a lemon cheesecake and my partner a chocolate mousse, it was very good but not very creative.

O Sweet Republic fica em uma via entre o castelo de Hvar e o centro da cidade. O ambiente é muito agradável e há boas opções veganas tanto de cafés como de doces. O menu também indicava sanduíches veganos, mas eles nāo estavam disponíveis no dia de minha visita. A menina que me atendeu foi muito gentil.

this place has really nice coffee, homemade syrups and great cakes! i am a person who usually declines raw cakes as i like creamy and doughy cakes, but everything i tried here was really amazing. recommended :)

What a SWEET find in the middle of Hvar Town!
Read moreSWEET REPUBLIC HVAR is exactly what this town needed. And what a location, location, location! Start climbing the stairs up from the main square, heading towards the fortress and BAM, there they are. A corner space which is absolute perfection.
Love the outdoor seating on the old steps with cushions or barstools along the outer wall. Inside also offers barstools and counter space if the weather brings you indoors.
Coffee is made with expertise by Marko & Mia. Also teas and iced tea infusions are a daily menu choice. Very good juices which should satisfy all who stop in with the wide variety of drink selections.
Then the most yummy vegan (and non-vegan) desserts, breakfast bowls and smoothies made fresh daily.
I love that they offer alternative plant based milks as I only use oat ‘milk’ in my lattes/coffee. I also have enjoyed the chia puddings, the juices (Detox is delicious!), the iced teas and on and on.
Prices are incredibly fair. You will be surprised by the quality of the drinks and foods at such great price points.
The staff is so friendly and helpful. We’ve stopped quite a few times during our month here on Hvar and we were always greeted with a smile. The owner Joško is also on site often and he and his staff make us feel like old friends! (Thank you!!!)
Do yourself a favor and go join the ‘Republic’. You will find it to be a totally Sweet Republic!!
