The best vegan food we ate in Costa Rica

I literally made a HappyCow account just to post this review. Maybe the other most recent review was posted on an off-night for the restaurant, but we had an incredible time both nights we ate here. The hearts of palm salad, the stuffed eggplant, the watermelon tartare, the fettuccine with vegetables... each was super flavorful, complex, and beautifully presented. The veggie burger was fine if not special, and that was the only dish I wasn't over the moon about. Highly recommend.

Don’t go here

I really don’t recommend this place. My partner and I got pasta dishes, mine vegan and his with seafood, both were pretty awful. No flavour whatsoever in the vegan pasta, and the seafood clearly wasn’t fresh. The prices are also insane. 2 pastas, 1 beer, and 2 sodas, cost 70$ USD (96$ CAD).

Hotel restaurant with clearly marked vegan options.

I had the eggplant stuffed with mushrooms tomato sauce pecans and tofu. It was beautifully garnished, a lovely presentation, and I enjoyed every bite!

Pros: View of the volcano , Clearly marked vegan options, The food tastes good

Cons: You probably have to be staying at the hotel, It's a poolside restaurant, it could be noisy
