So good! - Edit
Finally got over to Street Beet and it did not disappoint! Had brunch (Hash, Biscuits & Gravy, & a Cinnamon Roll), and everything was delicious! The cinnamon roll was to die for! The portions were large, food came out fairly quickly, and all members of the staff were interacted with were friendly and kind! The whole place is just a good vibe! Can’t wait to come back for the Dinner menu sometime (hopefully!) soon!

So yum! Very busy! - Edit
I went here around 7.00pm on a Saturday and I’m very glad I came, it’s on the pricier side, but everything I had was so delicious and incredibly filling. I won’t be tucking into the fridge tonight!
Read moreThe service was very slow, but the wait staff were very kind and apologetic about it, it was no big deal to me because I wasn’t in a rush but I think it was just shy of an hour, maybe 50 odd minutes before I got my food. It’s also quite highly priced in my opinion, so I wouldn’t come here regularly, just for a treat!

Always the best - Edit
We’re so lucky to have street beet! Over the years I’ve seen and tasted so many of the concoctions they come up with. When I first had street beet they had Mac n cheese cones and even black waffle cones w Asian noodles , wish they bring those cones back! .. they do Taco hell special and lots of fun things . 100% vegan goodness!! It has gotten a lot more expensive though.

Must visit; can't wait to return! - Edit
We've been eating at Street Beet and their pop-ups occasionally for a few years and we're excited to try their new corktown location. They exceeded our expectations, and I already want to return!
Read moreThe menu was large, it was very hard to decide what to order! Everyone's food was delicious and the service was excellent! Great flavors and execution! The milkshakes are amazing (as was the cheesecake special)!
Went back a week later for brunch and it was delicious! A huge menu with lots of things I wanted to try!

street beet forever - Edit
i’ve been visiting street beet since 2019 and i am really happy to have a full restaurant now!! i chose to not give a full 5 stars because the mac and cheese was not good😪i had their mac and cheese in 2020 too and they must’ve changed the recipe 💔 the fried chicken basket also wasn’t my favorite, and i’ve never been the biggest fan of their fries (wish they were thicker and less salty!!). the nachos and crunchywrap are delicious!! the burger is good too but nothing crazy. i’m excited to see how they progress here and to go back for brunch!!

Room for improvement - Edit
I desperately want to love this place but my first experience did not make me want to recommended them just yet.
Read moreI went to support the corktown store for their opening weekend a few weeks back. Their chicken sandwiches left a lot to be desired. It was a small fried tofu patty on a bun that wasn’t very filling or flavorful. I may have ordered a basic item so the flavor issue might be on me but the portion size still felt too small. I think for their Third Street bar location having smaller portion sizes makes sense, but for a sit down restaurant it felt underwhelming.
We ordered a separate side of fries that were a bit cold and the dipping sauce tasted sour. I also had a side of mac and cheese that wasn’t very cheesy. All around I left being disappointed with my meal and feeling like I didn’t get my moneys worth.
Additionally, a few staff members actively smelled pretty bad. I feel bad even including this in my review but when several staff members have strong BO it definitely didn’t help me enjoy my meal and keeps me from wanting to return.
I love that the team have built a Detroit vegan staple and am so happy they are growing. I wish them all the success in the world and hope they can learn and improve their menu. I will definitely be trying to revisit sometime in the future and give them a second chance!

Great place to grub! - Edit
So stoked about street beat’s brick and mortar. We went for grand opening weekend and enjoyed their Mr chicken sandwich, fries, fried pickles, and tahini chocolate chip cookie. All of which was delicious! The only thing I wouldn’t recommend is the Mac and cheese—it unfortunately lacked sauce and overall flavor.
Read moreThey do really fun riffs on different menus and restaurants (taco bell, Olive Garden, etc) so I’m excited for us to come and try each of those things.

Just what we needed on our way out of town. The chicken parm was crispy and creamy. We added broccoli to the dish as well. The lasagna was perfectly cooked and flavorful! We also tried the chocolate mousse cake- wow! Check it out!

Detroit Must Visit! - Edit
This place is a hands down, MUST VISIT when in Detroit. Whether a local or visiting, you will adore this place. We just got back from their Taco Hell (Bell) themed night where their whole menu is taken over with nostalgic food items from the Bell, all the ones we miss and wish were vegan! The food was delicious, the vibes were great, and amazing that it was fully vegan! 💚

Finally had a chance to retry after being closed for a while. Didn’t even have a chance to take photos of the food because I needed to inhale it all immediately. I had the Smash Burger, Brunchy Party Potatoes and a coffee shake. Everything was delicious.

Even better than before! - Edit
Love, love, love this place! Everything is great, but the brunchy wrap and banana pudding are out of this world! The bar they are located in is also a lot of fun - large and never crowded with pool, shuffleboard, patio and darts. Or they deliver! What more can you ask for?!

This place is amazing. Their food was absolutely delicious. Ordered online and it was ready when I got there. Service was friendly.
Read moreI appreciate how they’re open later than most vegan restaurants. Most other vegan restaurants close at 6-8pm. And 8:00 is when I usually want to go out to get dinner. So them being open until 10:00 on Wednesday-Saturday was really nice.
All vegan place with lots of vegan cheese and meat options.

Great - Edit
The crunch wrap supreme was simultaneously just like and even better than the taco bell original. Just like in that when I ate it I wondered how I'd gone this long without it and ever better in that I didn't get heartburn or any of the other taco bell side effects. Also they gave me a free day-old donut. Much love to this place. Swing by if you're in Detroit.

Favorite vegan food - Edit
Street beet is my absolute favorite, before I moved to Michigan I saw a post about them from a vegan chef when they were still just a pop-up. Since moving to Michigan in March I’ve gotten food from them as often as possible. They use walnuts for their crunch wrap meat and it’s so delicious, and the chik’n they make is to absolutely DIE for, so juicy and crunchy. HIGHLY recommend checking them out and supporting their business, I can’t wait to see them out-grow third street bar to where they can finally open their own place.
