Serves meat, vegan options available. Cafe and bar offering 4 vegetarian dishes, three of which are vegan. Menu states that their focus is on organic, fairtrade, and animal welfare. In a country where vegan/vegetarian food is not commonly found, Stills is indeed a pearl. Good presentation and quality of the food. Reported closed to HappyCow April 2013.

I wrote a rave review of this place about a year ago after Resept (a vegan cafe which was excellent) closed down. It seems to have disappeared. At the time and up until recently there was a good choice of vegan dishes. Unfortunately demand was so low (I guess) that yesterday there were only two vegan/veggie dishes on the menu. A vegan burger and hummus.
Pros: Nice place, friendly staff

The lack of options for vegans in Stavanger quickly becomes apparent, and in such circumstances most suitable vegan options are poorly prepared and tasteless, although Stills provided a number of great tasting, large and reasonably priced options in a country that doesn't cater too well for herbivores. I would return if I were ever to visit Stavanger again.
