Awesome Food..Decent Smoothies

Great place to eat if you're in search of vegan alternatives to classic foods..had the Bmore Cheesesteak, Crab Cake sandwich, and Citrus Rib wrap and fries..everything was phenomenal..flavored well, made to order, fresh and hot..staff is knowledgeable about ingredients and willing to answer any questions..the location is a little inconvenient as its on a busy strip and finding parking is a task in its own (I parked "illegally" in the PNC lot nearby) but the food was definitely worth it. Also tried a dragon kiss smoothie which could've used some type of natural sweetener but all in all it was good. I will definitely be back!

Pros: Awesome menu

Cons: Location, parking

Baltimore Cheezesteak!

Loved it! If you don't like mushrooms, make sure you ask for it without! Menu doesn't list them as an ingredient, but I think they are cooked together with the onions. Very juicy and delicious! Def give it a try! They have vegan cupcakes too!

delicious & satisfying

I have had the ginger "chicken" bowl twice and it's delicious and plentiful enough for 2 meals. Great flavor and texture.

My friend's 7-year-old who is normally super finicky enjoyed the mock chicken nuggets and Purple Raven smoothie, if that helps parents out there.

I almost detracted a star only because Sprout is a bit on the pricey side, but I understand that the comfort-food-style mock meats are not cheap, so it's a trade off you should be prepared for.

Pros: delicious , nice staff, cute environment

Cons: a little pricey

Tasty

I like to eat out once or twice a week and Sprout has become one of my favorite places to go.

Service: 7/10. Not overly friendly but not rude. I wasn't sure where to order first visit. Now I know to order food in one location and juices/smoothies in another.

Food: 10/10. I've had the vegan cheezesteak and fries each time I've gone. A friend has gotten the "chicken" Caesar salad which she really enjoyed.

Atmosphere/dining: 10/10. Good vibes, nice paintings, bright. Plenty of seating and even a picnic table outside.

There's parking along the side of the restaurant but it's a small road/alley so you might miss it.

Yum..

I went here with my BF after hearing great things. We were both pleasantly surprised at how yummy the food was. I got the philly cheezsteak and he ordered a BBQ paninni along with a berry smoothie. They were both delicious and much healthier versions than you would expect! Btw - my BF is not vegan and he loved the sandwich (ordered with vegan cheese).

Pros: healthy options, fresh juice/smoothie made to order, tons of vegan options

Cons: parking on weekends

I concur with your review. I've been a vegetarian for the past five years. The misconception most people have (just like myself when I was a carnivore) is that the vegetarian diet is very limited in terms of what's out there to eat. I will assure you right now, that is false. There's a variety of healthy choices out there for vegans and vegetarians alike. Go to sprout natural choice restaurant and you will witness that there's plenty of delicious vegetarian dishes and drinks that will do your body good. I tried the "hodu soup" on a cold day and I was blown away. Their veggie burger is out of this world....not to mention the raw juices. I love the Hulk and all the other green juices they have.

Inedible Salad and Poor Hygienic Practices

I have several complaints about Sprouts. I spent $11 on a ‘create your own’ salad and the product was clearly not worth this. As I was picking out ingredients, I witnessed the employee behind the counter take out a bag of lettuce (Andy Boy, in case you’re wondering) that I know clearly states that the greens within it need to be washed before consumption. He chopped in up and threw it in the container without washing. I chose beets, tomatoes, peppers and cucumbers as my mix-ins; the beets were processed, limp, and inedible and the tomatoes were visible bruised. The tofu, which was an additional $2, was uncooked with a sickly sweet bbq sauce poured over it. Worst was the balsamic vinaigrette dressing – which tasted syrupy sweet and was clearly mass-produced, something you could have bought at Walmart. The overly familiar employee called me ‘honey’ and ‘girlie’ multiple times.

I would not have a problem with most of this except for the claim that Sprout puts out in its marketing. Fresh? Obviously not, because almost all of the ingredients were of processed and factory-produced quality. Healthy? No, judging by the sugar content of my salad and produce that remains unwashed and coated with pesticide. I do appreciate the effort to make available vegan and vegetarian options, but clearly the result is unsatisfactory, over-priced, and dishonest.

Cons: Quality of food, Hygiene
