This is such a quaint spot. Very welcoming. It feels like your going to have a home cooked meal. Vegan options labeled and Staff is knowledgeable on dietary restrictions. Menu seems to change on a whim because of the homestyle nature of the place,but there's always options. For vegans and non-vegans alike. It's a one-person show it seems as there's a walkie talkie at the door so you can announce your arrival to the chef but it's evident she really puts a lot of care into the food and overall experience. It's not your stereotypical Japanese (no hibachi/ sushi) just delicious authentic home style Japanese cooking which is a must try in my opinion.

I've been told by a Japanese guy that the food is, in fact, very authentically Japanese home cooking.

Several vegan options and very friendly staff. We sat in the back of the restaurant in a lovely outdoor dining area with a koi pond. I would have liked a larger portion honestly because my tofu was so delicious. Slightly crisp with just enough seasoning. I also enjoyed the mint iced tea. Several alcoholic drink options too including saki if you want to indulge. Overall a good choice in Rosendale!
