I'm really glad to have discovered Sol during my time in Konstanz, as there are not many other vegan places. The ice cream was awesome, there are many vegan flavors that are difficult to find elsewhere. I came by at least once a week for an ice cream cone. The warm food could have been better, but on occasion the Tagessuppe was very delicious. The interior design is okay, but not super cozy. Sol also offers a variety of cakes and hot drinks as well as salads and warm meals.

Bei einem Ausflug nach Konstanz legen wir sehr gerne im Sol eine Pause ein. Der Schnitzelburger ist guter Standard, aber nicht richtig was Besonders. Die Süßkartoffelpommes sind aber unglaublich gut und verbessern die Wertung um mindestens einen Punkt!

Bin wohl mit etwas zu hohen Erwartungen ins Sol gegangen. Habe mir die Bewertungen durchgelesen und hab mich schon so sehr auf einen Besuch gefreut. Wurde leider sehr enttäuscht. Die Gerichte sind fad, lieblos und nicht sonderlich schmackhaft umgesetzt. Da habe ich selbst bei nicht-veganen Restaurants schon viel viel besser vegan gegessen. Total schade!
Read moreDas Ambiente ist zudem auch sehr trist. Hat leider nicht zum Bleiben eingeladen. Dass Kuhmilch explizit angeboten wird, hat mich auch verwirrt, da mit veganen Speisen und Getränken geworben wird. Total unnötig.

Fantastic place in Konstanz. Had the BBQ burger with sweet potato fries on day 1 then returned the next day for chilli sin carne and ice cream sundaes. Absolutely fabulous. Would come back to Konstanz just to eat at Sol

Vegan Cafebar with a huge range - Edit
This cafe bar has so much to offer! You can have warm dishes like pasta, burger, fries, sausage and desserts like ice cream, cake and so on. Of cause they also offer salads and soup and saisonal changing dishes. The range is huge!

The food was very tasty! I choose seitan sausage with fries and peanut dip. I can recommend it!
It’s 100% vegan but they offer cow milk for coffee as an alternative to plantbased milk.

Diner with a nice ambience - Edit
The kimchi was tasty, the ice tea too. I had the "asian burger" which seemsd to me little more than an ordinary (though nice) seitan burger with peanut butter sauce on top (not much spice evident). I'd happily eat there again, but I was hoping from a bit more. There's plenty more on the menu, so maybe next time!

Ich war drei mal hier während meinem viertägigen Aufenthalt in Konstanz, das spricht für sich, oder? 😀 Es gibt eine gute Auswahl an veganen Gerichten, die häufig auch glutenfrei sind. Alles hat mir gut geschmeckt. Leider ist dieses Restaurant nicht wirklich 100% vegan, da hier auch Kuhmilch angeboten wird. Schade. Wenn ich wieder in Konstanz bin werde ich aber wahrscheinlich trotzdem wieder kommen.

We enjoyed stopping by this restaurant. It was open in the afternoon, ready to serve a plate of pasta and a burger (nothing very original but sometimes simple is good too). The vegan ice cream topped with whipped cream was a great sweet touch!

Das vegane Restaurant ist mehr als empfehlenswert und hat die 5 Sterne auf jeden Fall verdient. Für jeden, der Currywurst liebt, ist der Laden eine Pflichthaltestelle. Wir haben auch die Burger probiert, ebenso top erst recht wegen der Majo Ketchup.

Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. Homey, tasty food with good portion sizes. 7 different ice cream sundaes to choose from including banana split - heaven! We had the soyschnitzel burger and spinach cashew pesto pasta. The pasta was gluten free (organic corn). We’ll be back before our holiday ends!

This place has a nice vibe and made a less touristy impression on me. I had the dish of the day - soy "Geschnetzeltes" with mushrooms and herb rice - and a scoop of pistachio ice cream. Both were delicious, and it was a good value for money. The place is full, which could be the reason that the staff appeared stressed and a bit unfriendly.

Eis ist gut das war’s leider - Edit
Ich war hier nun 3 mal essen und jedes Mal bin ich enttäuscht. Gestern gab es für meine Freundin das Monatsgericht Thai Curry und für mich einen Burger. Das Curry war totgekocht und schmeckte fad. Der Limettenreis dazu hatte keine Limettennote im Geschmack und der Reis an sich schmeckt wie ein Beutelreis. Zudem sah es wie in einer schlechten Kantine angerichtet aus, einfach auf den Teller geklatscht. Der Burger ist recht klein, der Bun geht gar nicht, er sieht aus und schmeckt wie ein billiges Brötchen in einem italienischen Hostel. Beim Burger Asia Style habe ich das Asia vermisst. Gurke, Tomate und Salat ist für mich nicht gerade Asia Style. Gut es war eine Erdnusssauce, aber das ist nicht gleich Asia für mich. Die normalen Pommes waren gut, wobei die Süßkartoffelpommes hier matschig sind.
