Great food, shame about the exorbitant price.

We found this place on Happy Cow, and based on the reviews & description (including the 2 our of 3 dollar sign symbols) we were excited to check it out. The location and hosts were lovely, and the food was delicious. We arrived expecting a restaurant, and instead were treated to a lovely couple cooking for us at their place, which was a pleasant surprise. All the food was amazing. However we were shocked at the end when they asked for 75 euros! For a meal for two of us. While the food was great, I’m not sure why it was this expensive, or at least why we weren’t informed at the beginning that it was a boutique (and pricey) experience - we arrived straight from the beach, without shoes, and our appearance is generally a lot more poor-backpacker than fancy-restaurant-connoisseur. It’s a shame that after such a beautiful meal we were left with a bitter taste in our mouths.

Pros: Delicious food, Lovely hosts, Unique Argentinian flavours

Cons: Gigantic ridiculously huge price, Not being told how expensive it was at the start

A very unfair review I must say. You praise them for everything, acknowledging you got a personalised experience and that the food was in your own words "amazing". What was their problem then, exactly? You not checking the price of the meal beforehand, or you expecting it would somehow be cheap just because? What kind of restaurant tells YOU how much your final bill will be beforehand? As far as I know, it's the customer who asks for the menu. In any case, 75 euros for a private homemade meal for two is not really exorbitant anywhere in Europe. And why bring up the flip flops? It's you guys who assumed you'd be fine dressing like that. Did they complain about your flip flops? I doubt it.
