Vegetarian Options in Park but Better to Bring Food from Home - Edit
The Go Fresh Cafe is located inside the Adventure Seaport area of the Six Flags Great Adventure Theme Park. In a park full of unhealthy, overpriced, meat-based dining options it is encouraging to see that one restaurant offers a couple of vegetarian options. However, beyond the initial excitement of finding something vegetarian/vegan to eat there is nothing positive about this restaurant. The food is below average, the service is bad and the priced are unjustifiably high. There are 3 vegetarian main dishes on the menu - black bean burger served with cesar salad, vegetable wrap, and vegetarian chicken nuggets. All 3 are unfortunately made with cheese and possibly other non-vegan ingredients. I ordered the veggie burger with side salad vegan and although the cheese was removed I'm fairly certain the croutons were not vegan (not surprising given the lack of effort made by the staff). The burger was not very good and very dried out having probably sat around for hours before being thrown on a bun with a massive pile of raw onion and one tomato slice. I can't judge for the other meals because I didn't try them. I recommend bringing food from home when visiting the park but if you are planning to purchase food at Six Flags this restaurant seems to have the most actual vegetarian options.
