Another world - Edit
Must visit when in Tbilis. The vegan khachipuri is from another world. Absolutely amazing. I also tried the gimbap which was nice but not super authentic. This review will be update after I try other dishes because I must😉
Read moreThe vibe for me is 10/10, authentic, cute cats, but I understand it’s not for everyone. Prepare to wait a while for your food!
Pros: Fully vegan, Authentic dishes, Nice vibe

Outstanding vegan egg, ramen and tofu dishes - Edit
I tried the ramen, khachapuri and katsu curry dish. It was probably one of the better ramen I ever tasted, so deep and rich in flavor, well-balanced, although it could have been a little more soupy. The tofu was brilliantly marinated and also perfectly crispy in the katsu dish. The vegan egg on the ramen and khachapuri was just really a highlight. I loved even the pickled carrots and would return again to try other things on the menu, just ideally with a little more lighting.

Deeply enjoyed the V egg 🍳 - Edit
Ramen was super delicious. Loved our conversations with the staff. Lightning could be brighter though, as it was hard to see what we were eating sometimes. Would return!

Worth it even just for the vegan khachapuri - Edit
I’m planning my next visit to Georgia and hopped on here first to see if Shpana was still open and serving the vegan khachapuri, it’s that good. The best dish I’ve had as Georgia and so special to have it made vegan!!

Amazing Food, Miserable Service - Edit
Their food is amazing, and they have a great variety of dishes, ranging from Georgian traditional food like Khachapuri, over western dishes to Asian cuisine, which is definitely what they are specialized in. Food is definitely five stars, maybe the best I had in Georgia.
Read moreThe staff unfortunately is quite a disappointment. We’ve been there twice, and both times the place was fully run by one guy only (as chef and waiter). It wasn’t really crowded, so that’s not necessarily an issue, but the guy was also rather unmotivated and reserved. It sometimes seemed like he was deciding spontaneously whether he was motivated to cook a certain dish or whether it was “sold out”. For instance, I once ordered a milkshake, but when my friend ordered the same thing two minutes later, it was suddenly sold out. In the end, my friend was lucky and got my milkshake, because it took almost two hours to prepare, so I already left to go sleep. The good took more than an hour as well each time.
So, all in all, if you don’t mind the waiting (they at least have some board and card games to pass the time) and you can deal with the fact that getting your favorite dish or not might depend on the mood of the waiter, this is the best place in Tbilisi you can go to, because – again – the food is excellent. I’ll leave the decision to you!

Great food, questionable sanitary conditions - Edit
Khachapuri was great, definitely worth visiting just for that.
Read moreThe staff was a bit cold, and while I love cats, them roaming around so close to the food prep area is a bit weird to me, especially when they're not even brushed. A bunch of hair was flying as I pet the cat.
But you can't find vegan adjarian khachapuri anywhere else in Tbilisi as far as I'm aware.
Pros: Great food, Cute cats
Cons: Cats too close to food prep area, Staff is unfriendly

Food and good vibes - Edit
We came here for our first meal in Georgia and we were not disappointed.
Read moreWe tried the khachapuri with and without the 'egg'. Both were very good, but we surprisingly preferred the one without the 'egg'.
The place is a vegan haven with anarchist vibes. It's such a great spot. No frills, super opened to everyone.
The guy that served us was a chill as one can be.
Highly recommended 👌

Great Food, Cozy Vibes, and Feline Friends
Read moreI tried the fried rice and the chatchapuri—both were absolutely delicious. The service is warm and welcoming, and the laid-back atmosphere is made even more charming by the friendly cats wandering around.
The dishes took a bit longer to prepare, but that’s not necessarily a downside. Just keep in mind this isn’t a spot for a quick bite—it’s a place to relax, unwind, and savor the experience.
Highly recommended!

Highly recommended, great menu and quality - Edit
Very special atmosphere. Completely vegan menu, everything very appealing, difficult to decide. Unfortunately, no rice was ready, but alternatives were great: we had tofu sao za with noodles, adjarian khachapuri and kimchi pancakes. The pancakes in particular were fantastic. Highly recommended!

Order the khachapuri! 🤤 - Edit
So happy we got to try this traditional dish. Even though the original one it’s made with cheese and egg (one of the most difficult things to veganise from my point of view), I’m sure this one is waaaay better that any other. The taste was incredible!

Welcome to an underground punk vegan society - Edit
The nice fellow working here explained that Shpana translates into some kind of a slang word for “punks” and that is how they see themselves. This is a group of leftist vegan kids who happen to know how to make excellent food! If you support authoritarian dictators, think war is justified, or are ultra-wealthy then you might not feel comfortable in this place.
