We weren't sure if the items on the menu were even vegetarian. When we asked the front person, she said they don't eggs or dairy - making it vegan friendly. We were ecstatic.
Tried over two visits - You Tiao (Fried Fritter), Butterfly , Purple Sweet Potato, Fried Salted Bun, Fried Banana fritters. They are really good. Also tried the Soya Bean Drink with brown sugar- they give you an option for level of sweetness.
All very good, but all are fried. Reasonably priced. Thank goodness they so vegan friendly. The best are Purple Sweet Potato and Salted buns.
For a convenient and affordable grab-and-go meal, this spot offers a variety of options for both lunch and breakfast. On my visit, I opted for the carrot cake and fried fritters. While both were good, I particularly enjoyed the fritters. The staff were friendly and the selection is impressive, making it an ideal place to stop by, especially if you're planning to walk the Southern Ridges and need a quick and tasty top-up.
Nor the healthiest but you could get your fruit intake with some banana fritters.
Shou Yi is a veg stall in the VivoCity Food Republic food court (level 3) selling vegetarian Asian street food (all fried), including youtiao, curry puffs, spring rolls, various kinds of fritters, samosas, etc. You won’t find anything healthy here, but some of it is tasty. The sign says “vegetarian” and on our visit, we were told that everything available was vegan. We liked the spring roll, the curry puff, and the yuzu fritter.
haven’t had carrot cake in a while since going vegan. was happy to find that this stall offers some good shrimp-free carrot cake 🥰
had a goreng pisang too, which was very satisfying. their fried snacks go for about ~$2 each.
also tried the cold beancurd, but it was not great - won’t be having this again :’)

I tried the red bean bun and it was good. The stall has many options, I’ll try some more next time!
