The friendly staff smile genuinely when they first see you & have real personality making you feel instantly like you belong & you can be welcomed! Appreciate they make their own cheeses and meats and I was served a side of vegan parmesan.

The menu is so vegan friendly and the owner is so enthusiastic about plant based food it’s really surprising this place isn’t just vegan. They invented their own vegan cheese and make their own vegan sausage. The food is amazing and the service is great. Definitely a must visit on a vegan food tour of Melbourne.

There isn't a lot to say other than this is the best meal I have eaten in my life and there is no room for improvement. This place is inclusive of all dietary needs with vegan options for almost everything. I had arancini, gnocchi chips, creamy fettuccini with sprinkled parmesan on top and deep friend gnocchi with vegan Nutella for dessert.

Cozy ambiance and lovely spot. Authentic Italian food and owner is super friendly and warmhearted. Honestly the best pizza I can think of! So nice that nearly all dishes can be made vegan. Own vegan sausage, meats and cheese!

I loved the vegan cheese on the pizza and the mushrooms and meat, but I am sure everything is bomb!
Definitely try the desserts as well. Incredible! We shared and I loved the Panna Cotta and Cannoli ! Both not too sweet, beautifully presented and the Cannoli was a dessert highlight for me for sure! I loved the homemade Nutella with lots of hazelnuts. It wasn’t too sweet and with pistachios even better. They have vegan tiramisu as well and matcha version as a nice twist which I loved too. Incredible restaurant

I was blown away by how delicious this food was and how seamlessly integrated the vegan options are on the menu. In most restaurants, the vegan options, if they even have any, are an afterthought and are few and and unimpressive. Not at Shop225. Almost all of the menu options can be made vegan without sacrificing taste, quality or ingredients (they have great plant-based cheese and meat substitutions, some of which the menu says are made in house). The artisan pizza crust was delicious! You won't be disappointed!

Shop 225 has some of the most authentic and delicious pizzas around. The woodfired base alone is incredible, and they have a wide range of artisan vegan cheeses and mock meat toppings to create the perfect slice. Way nicer than generic modern pizza places, and while it can be a little expensive sometimes it's worth it. Good vegan desserts and pasta options as well.

Went to Shop 225 this evening with my boyfriend and it was a great experience!! Super friendly and accomodating staff with great atmosphere both inside the restaurant and in the back garden. The food was great and pretty much everything on the menu has a vegan option available, and the vegan cheeses and mock meats used were tasty. Heaps of specials and the vegan desserts are also fantastic!!

Read moreIt's such a treat to be able to have traditional Italian pizza veganised! My favourite by far is the Zio Pino - a heavenly, creamy, truffle-y mushroom pizza. I also really like Il Dottore and Verde.
I haven't tired much else other than the pizza here (other than the focaccia and tiramisu - YUM), but there are many other vegan items on the menu which sound delicious.

One of my favorites in Melbourne for quality napoletan style pizza. My go to is typically il dottore (the doctor) which has cheese, porcini and vegan nduja (spreadable spicy sausage). This time we went with the Patatine and the special Cremosa. The cremosa is for me a top 3 vegan pizza in Melbourne. It had a different “cheese” compared to the standard vegan pizzas that was a flavour sensation, very creamy taste and consistency. Almost like a cheese sauce. It was divine. I suggested they add that cheese to the other Vega cheeses!

Nearly everything has a vegan option. We were very impressed with the variety of choices. We ordered the verde pizza and the calzone and we more than satisfied with our choices. The pastas looked so enticing. Can't wait to go back to savour more of the delicious offerings. Very busy restaurant but so well run, didn't have to wait too long and enjoyed every minute.
