Best vegan in Madrid - Edit
I already visited the other Shlen restaurant they have close to Goya, I heard about the new restaurant opening in Cuatro Caminos and I was told by the owners there will be new dishes that they don't have at their first restaurant, and as always, the food is spectacular!

I also tried the classic and super original "flavor bombs" and the baos—my favorite dish!
The owners, Sheetal and Lennon, take care of every detail and you can see it in every dish 🩷

Good but there are better options in Madrid - Edit
It's a nice concept, and the service was absolutely stellar, but the food fell a tiny bit short of my high expectations, since this is Madrid with so many top places for vegans. I had the tasting menu plata which has gyozas, bao, rice ball and creamy ramen. The gyozas were nice and lightly spicy "Spanish spicy" as the server called it.
Read moreThe fried rice ball was a bit bland despite having the same sesame topping as everything, good, but 'sin más'. The bao was the highlight in my opinion. Finally the creamy noodles were good with a simple cocunut curry sauce, but also just normal and the same sesame topping didn't really do much to distinguish it when all the other plates had it also. For the desert I had tiramisu which was quite good but came out frozen. I must highlight the absolutely excellent service. Very friendly waitress.

Visited on 11 April 2026. The vegan dishes were delicious with great presentation, making every plate a delight. The staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming, creating a warm and enjoyable dining experience. Highly recommended!

Lo mejor del restaurante es la atención de Simón. A eso le doy un 10. Sin embargo a la comida le doy mucha menos puntuación. Las raciones son pequeñas y todo es muy caro. Una cerveza más de 5€. El tiramisú es un vaso minúsculo 7€. La comida está bien aunque no para repetir.

An incredible experience at Shlen! It's undoubtedly an excellent vegan restaurant in Madrid. We came with a friend who usually eats meat, and he was blown away; the Peking duck and the Shlen bao buns are spectacular and have a perfect flavor and texture.
Read moreWhat really sets it apart is its selection of craft beers. It's not common to find a vegan place with such a carefully curated selection. We tried the Doskiwis, Garage, and Espiga beers, and they were all delicious. If you're looking for delicious food and great craft beer, this is the place. Highly recommended!

What an amazing concept - the interior is beautfiul and the music was mostly great. Our waiter/Manager/Chef de pastry was just such a sweetheart and talented person. The food was great, and even unforgettable, how they veganized Dishes and balanced tastes just amazed us all. Some of the tastes are still lingering in my mouth. It was auch a pleasure, especially the "taste Bomb", the "Bao bun", "gyoza with leaks and szechuan oil" and finally the Dessert made by the master an amazing Tiramisu and "gyoza de manzanas" which reminds you of German Apfelstrudel. What a blast IT was!!!!

Fabulous vegan restaurant in Madrid - Edit
Our fifth visit. Every time is a new surprise. Just FABULOUS food and impeccable service. Dishes to not miss? The flavor bombs, the no butter no chicken, pato pekin, boa Shlen, the sushi… never had a dish we didn’t like. Really spectacular food made with love and care. One of the best in Madrid, hands down!

This was my favorite vegan experience in Madrid. I loved the Pato Pekin, Shlen Baos, Potato Dosa and the Truffle Gyoza. The service was top notch and it felt like I was in a Michelin star restaurant. We also had a cocktail each which was catered to our palate. We shall definitely be back.

Fuimos a Shlen de manera totalmente improvisada y nos enamoramos de la comida y del lugar.

We booked a table with WhatsApp and they answered very quickly. Although we were alone in the restaurant, the service was a little bit slow (for the drinks), but all was served with smile, so it was a pleasure for us to eat there. The food was amazing, so delicious and original. Staff was friendly, welcoming and smiling. Place to recommend.

Quedé gratamente sorprendido con este restaurante, para empezar tanto la camarera Geraldine como el dueño Lennon son muy amables, te sonríen sinceramente y te hablan con esmero de sus platos y sus sabores, además de cómo te recomiendan comerlo (con las manos, de un bocado, etc...)

Las samosas, esas empanadillas triangulares tan generosamente rellenas, con su puntito de picante e intensidad de sabor, totalmente recomendables, como se nota que no usan aceites, están super ligeras
También tomé un dao! una especie de crep hecha enteramente por ellos, con una mezcla de lentejas y algo más que no recuerdo, rellena de patata y una crema que le daba una suavidad tremenda, unos bocados exquisitos
Y llegó el pato! ya sabemos, "pato", unas tiras de proteína de guisante, con verduras , envueltas en una hoja de arroz, jope, no sé cómo lo hacen pero ese crujiente así como de caramelo y la combinación con las verduras y la hoja, quedaba sabrosísimo
Una pena que no me quedara hueco para los postres, la próxima vez será porque el tiramisú tenía una pinta...
Resumiendo, me chupé los dedos con cada bocado y terminas con ese sabor intenso recordándote cada plato. No dejen de ir porque es una experiencia gastronómica de esas que dices: carne, quesos, ... ¿qué necesidad hay?

One of the best places I’ve tried in Madrid. Good looking interior, very friendly staff and the food was amazing. Our group tasted almost the entire menu, the favorites were the pot noodle, no butter no chicken and the katsu curry.
