Friendly lady doesn't speak English but it's pay by weight so you don't really need to speak. Decent amount of options for gluten-free. mostly veggies but they were good.

Pay by weight vegetarian buffet. Some egg dishes but easy to avoid. Paid $110 for two people. Not too bad. Fruit for purchase out the front.

Yummy and cheap - Edit
A big bowl of kway teow noodles and a big bowl of not-hot hot and sour soup for 70 NT total. Neither was oily. The soup was not spicy enough for my taste but chili on the table took care of that. I could eat like that every day :-) Open in the mid-afternoon.

I had breakfast here yesterday morning. Tasty, filling, inexpensive, run by nice people. Vegan friendly also.
