Good vegan options

We had a really good lunch at Shalimar. Alo Gobi and Roti was tasty and also really cheap for the size. We will definitely come back to this gem

Lovely outdoor seating area to watch the world go by and chat to family

The lovely lady turned up late for work and we thought it was closed so we were about to go elsewhere. She turned up opened the concertina doors and we decided to give it a go.

They put 3 x tables together to create a table for 7 and the staff were absolutely lovely. We had a great time and the Indian food was lovely. Not a huge amount of vegan 🌱 options but the waitress seemed to know a good amount about veganism and we got catered for well.

Not that great

A few vegetarian options here. I love Indian food so I was excited about eating here. The food had corn and tofu (two things I don’t eat) but it wasn’t described on the menu. I just picked it out. The portions are large. Naan is standard (tasty).

No takeaway and closes from 2:30 (at 3pm but kitchen won’t make food the last thirty minutes) to 5:45pm.

Service is mediocre for the area/compared to other restaurants in area.

Nice but not the best Indian restaurant though

Same classic vegan options as in any Indian restaurant
I think the food was a bit bland but still good

Pros: Various options, Location

Cons: Price

Not vegan however

They have like most Indian restaurants, numerous vegetarian options, which some are by default also vegan.
The actual food is extremely good, with lots of flavours and spices. It is also fresh my made.

Pros: If you ask they can accomadate

Cons: Reasonably priced for the food quality

Excellent food and service

Very friendly service. The food was very nice, lots of vegetarian options, and I guess if you don't mind then cooking with ghee (which they presumably do) then okay for vegans too

Open for winter

Came by on a Saturday evening in the winter time. Luckily it was open! Vegan friendly too :
I ordered their yellow pea daal, potato cauliflower dish, and their spinach potato dish for our main dishes. For appetizer I had the papadum with mango sauce and the vegetable samosa. Please be very careful when ordering vegan. Must state you don't want "NATAS" which means cream. The staff was very friendly and attentive. They have inside and outside seating. Be careful with smokers when sitting outside.

Pros: open for winter

excellent service

The food here was great, once we explained what vegan was they suggested plenty of things we could have. The waiter was really interested to find out more about veganism. It's pretty hard to find vegan places in Lagos and I would definitely give this a try, but be sure to explain what vegan is - their English was very good.
