I had one scoop each of the vegan Stracciatella and Kinder Schokolade and an iced Matcha Latte which both hit the spot on the hot day.

The Pinsa Funghi was a little underwhelming, it needed salt as it was barely tasteful. Not many mushrooms and onions, vegan cheese on top not great (as often, I love selfmade cheese alternatives).
The tarte flambé was better, although arugula on top could have been fresher.
I really loved the chai latte and the baked goods we got to try, the cinnamon bun was warm and the cheesecake seemed very authentic to me.
I probably prefer coming back for breakfast and afternoon coffee / cake than for lunch.
Pros: Ambience , menu selection , Cake selection and taste

Mal wieder ein Geschmackserlebnis mit Suchtfaktor in diesem Restaurant. Wir kamen jetzt zum zweiten Mal nach Mannheim und Schön Klar ist schon jetzt ein Highlight für uns. Diese Zimtschnecken sind ein Genuss, sie machen süchtig. Zudem kommt das tolle Personal. Beide Damen sind sehr sympathisch und nett gewesen. Bester „Kundenservice“. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und kommen gerne wieder.

This little cafe has a wonderful atmosphere (great music too!) and DELICIOUS food. I had vegetable quiche and cheesecake (perfect consistency). My mom also had a brownie (served hot!).

Das Schoen Klar ist in den ehemaligen Räumlichkeiten des Eis Eis Babys in Mannheim (im Sommer bekommt ihr dort auch immernoch deren super leckeres Eis) , ich war im März zum ersten mal dort und habe einen Schokomuffin gegessen und eine Eisschokolade getrunken. Beides war super lecker und auch die Menschen dort sind super lieb und hilfsbereit.

Nettes Café am Rand der Quadrate. Leckere Getränke und am Nachmittag verschiedene Kuchen, Kleingebäckstücke und belegte Bagel. Alles ist komplett pflanzlich, aber nicht gekennzeichnet. Eigentlich schade, denn daher würde ich vorbeigehen, wenn ich das Café nicht bei HappyCow gesehen hätte.

The restaurant is very nice, although it is allowed to bring dogs in, what some people might not like. The service was good, as was the meal. The cakes look very tasty, but we did not have the time to order one.

Die Bedienung ist sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Wenn man rein kommt wird man vom leckeren Kaffee Geruch begrüßt und man muss sich einfach wohlfühlen 🌻. Es ist nicht ohne Grund mein Lieblings Café in ganz Mannheim ganz viel Liebe an das immer freundlichen Team 🫶🏻.

Nice café but not perfect - Edit
I have mixed feelings. On one side, the coffe was really tasty and I enjoyed my walnut coffee cake. However, the lox sandwich tasted weird and was definitively not worth its high price. Additionaly, the cinnamon roll of my friend was unbaked. Moreover, the service was very slow and it took them forever to serve us the food. To sum up, go there for the cakes.

Wir hatten eine Bowl, zwei Limonaden und einen Kuchen bestellt.

Als die Servicekraft uns die Getränke gebracht hat, wurden diese nur auf einem Tablett im vorbeigehen abgestellt.
Die Bowl war nichts Besonderes und hat in Ordnung geschmeckt.
Leider wurde diese ohne ein "Guten Appetit o.Ä." und einem viel zu großen Löffel gebracht.
Der Kuchen hat gut geschmeckt, wurde aber leider mit Besteck serviert, welches von fettigen Fingerabdrücken übersät war. Wir hatten ausdrücklich um Gabeln gebeten, aber wir bekamen lediglich Kaffeelöffel.
Die Einrichtung ist sehr schön und draußen konnte man sehr gut und ungestört sitzen.

Es hat schon gut geschmeckt und die Einrichtung sowie Terrasse sind echt schön gestaltet (sogar ein Bücherregal, in dem Bücher getauscht werden können). Auch bei den Kuchen hat es eine große Auswahl auch mit gesunden Riegeln oder Bananenbrot.
Read moreZum Essen: Ich wählte die hausgemachte Lemonade und eine Bowl. Die kleine Lemonade war basically Wasser mit etwas Sirup und die Bowl war okay, bestand aber nur aus Reis und rohen Zutaten (der Tofu zum Beispiel war einfach in Stücke geschnitten worden). Es war lecker, hab aber etwas mehr erwartet. 😐
Und die Bedienung empfand ich als speziell. Als ich nach Empfehlungen fragte, meinte er, er habe keine, weil er es nicht esse. Aber man konnte drüber lachen. 😅
Insgesamt würde ich nicht ein zweites Mal hingehen, kann aber auch sein, dass die Bedienung einfach einen schlechten Tag hatte. Es sind ja auch nur Menschen. Das Essen war aber relativ simple und nicht dem Preis entsprechend.

At Schön Klar, you can have the bowls from Mahalo Poke Corner next door (they belong together) - but that's not all! They also have Eis Eis Baby's vegan ice-cream, a variety of vegan cakes (including fancy stuff with cream), and vegan breakfast options! In total, they're basically vegan heaven! 😋

(English below) Wir hatten 4 verschiedene Bowls vom Mahalo Poke Corner. Dessen Essen kann man im "Schön Klar" bestellen. Jeder war von seinem Essen und von dem der anderen begeistert. Die großen Bowls sind rießig. Wir hatten dort auch die mit Abstand besten veganen Kaffees. Darüber hinaus ist es sehr schön eingerichtet und sehr sauber. Wir kommen sicher wieder.

We also had by far the best vegan coffees there. In addition, it is beautifully decorated and very clean. We will definitely be back.
