SASCO organization run cafe located besides the Khatib MRT. Has vegan waffles and ice cream from Smoocht. Note some of the bread sold here contains meat. Open Mon-Sat 12:00pm-9:00pm. Closed Sun.

A good course cafe

A good course!
Great to see such a little beautiful cafe run by senior volunteers, giving them a sense of purpose and contributing back to the community.

Vegan options like waffles, ice cream etc available here.

The Latte is good ($3.5). Add 50 cents if you want soy instead of milk.

Ordered the set meal ($6.5), a drink plus bread .Turtle Matcha Pan, it looks so adorable, irresistible.

Located just few steps from Khatib MRT, quite easy to find.

Alright.

While I'm excited to have Smoocht's ice cream available in the north, the experience here wasn't pleasant. I know I should have patience because the staff are in their advanced ages and are volunteering their time to be here but the ice creams took quite some time to be served and when it came I found bits and pieces of paper in my ice cream cup. At first I thought it was fruit bits in my strawberry ice cream, till I pulled out grey bits of paper which I believe to be newspaper. Overall bad experience here. I'll stick to Smoocht in Sin Ming and Jurong West

R'ice cream n waffles

Yummy R'ice cream served here by senior citizens. Must try. They've got waffles and coffee too.

Pros: nice cosy ambience, peaceful, convenient beside Khatib MRT station

Cons: price OK for occasional treat
