Lack of Business Etiquettes ! - Edit
Well.. first of all I say, the owner is a Nepalese guy & married with a western lady, and i happened to had a talk with the lady for 10mins and was all going good, she handed over the menu and was explaining about the dishes.
Read moreWell I said I will try several dishes and I expect 20% net discount but she stick with 10 percent and I asked to cut a deal for 15%, still she stick offering with 10% only, and I said alright, nvr mind, I placed order for the miso soup, and was offered with green tea pot, and during tht time I happened to check its website as well, whereas was mentioned with complimentary beverage and kombucha and sake tasting for its 5th anniversary and then I asked her in regard if can I get with kambucha as well, and then her attitude seems to be changed and arguing with me tht if I am there for free food or what, she said u urged for 20% discount and then 15% or so,, I said softly thts not a problem at all as it is a usual business practice for one to seek a good discount for a deal as I m here to try several dishes to satisfy my taste buds… and don’t be offended in regard… as dishes prices r like in minimum 5usd and above, and to cool down the situation I then placed order for udon which costs 6.5usd, I finished up with it and she showed up asking if anything else I need .. I intend to order more but her pathetic business attitude/etiquettes have turned me off by then… and before leaving I had a words with her asking, as per mentioned on ur own website to enjoy complimentary beverages and kombucha and sake tasting and if I had asked for it why U felt offended, again she arguing with me and I tried reasoning with her but her attitude couldn’t confront me and she left the dine area mentioning I am done with you… and then I left the dining area too and asked for the bill, and then just a bit more soft chit chat and I left the place with determination not to dine in there ever…. She married a typical Nepalese man and been in Nepal since 28 years so her western attitude changed to typical Nepalese attitude & etiquettes… certainly yes, no doubt …. !
Pros: Place is in old bungalow but dine area is elegant, Miso soup was nice & Veg Udon was good enough too
Cons: Lack of Business attitude and etiquettes ! , Complacency in her nature. , Shrewd behavior !
