Really delicious, super friendly staff - Edit
The staff was super friendly, the food arrived in no time and was superb!!! We ordered 4 different Tapas for 3 people which was enough for us. They have a vegetarian card with clearly labelled allergenes.

Recommend the Dobladas - Edit
Lovely friendly and authentic Guatemalan restaurant. The menu isn't super clear on what is/isn't vegan but the staff are very knowledgeable and there are multiple options that are vegan plus a few more which can be easily veganized. I went for items that were already vegan as removing key elements from a dish is a bit of a shame (would love to see some vegan cheese/sour cream replacements on the menu for example). However what I did get was delicious. I had dobladas and tostones w/ guacamole and a homemade coconut lemonade. Reasonable price for the portions and I thoroughly enjoyed it/ would recommend.

Sangria’s missed it. - Edit
We thought Sangria’s was a Spanish restaurant . It’s way more Mexican/Guatemalan in decor, ambiance/music, and menu. Almost nothing was purely plant based and we found the selections overpriced. Food was greasy and we really missed what we were hoping for here. We were lired in by the reviews of veggie paella…but apparently they quit serving it. There is definitely room for a true tapas/pintxos place in Galway, that provides true vegan options. This isn’t it.

Cons: No longer serving paella, More Guatemalan than Spanish , Food was so so, for the price.

Delicious tapas - Edit
We were very happy to discover Sangria as we arrived late on a Wednesday evening and it was hard to find a place with vegan options that was still open.
Read moreThe interior is very cosy. Staff was very friendly and helpful. They were knowledgeable on vegan options. Make sure to ask, because on our menu's the indication for vegan meals (VG) differed. They explained us all vegetarian dishes except the croquette and ravioli could be made vegan. We had the 5 vegan dishes to share with the 3 of us. Flavours were on point, we would really recommend the bean/rice dish and roasted eggplant spread. Portions were okay but we were not so hungry so better to order at least 2 to 3 tapas per person if you are.
Hopefully they expand their delicious vegan options.
