Yummy big breakfast - Edit
Couple options to choose from. I went with the big breakfast with an option to have scrambled tofu instead of eggs. It was huge and super tasty. Especially the crispy hash brown and chickpeas and the perfectly cooked mushroom.

NO LONGER SERVES VEGAN WAFFLES - Edit
Visited recently and discovered that the vegan choices have been heavily reduced to just the vegan breakfast. When asked, the server said that the waffles are no longer vegan and cannot be veganised either. Super disappointing.

I ate bacon and chicken! Yuck - Edit
We ordered a vegan wrap from the vegetarian menu, I haven't eaten meat for 38 years! I don't know what it tastes like, I don't really know what it looks like. I ate 1/4 of the wrap and handed it to my wife, who said, "this is meat!". Yep!
Read moreThey fed me bacon and chicken and I feel sick! I would remove them entirely from happy cow!
Disappointed is an understatement. They gave me back $12!!! I am sad and angry and appalled that a place we found on happy cow could do this!!
Pros: None
Cons: They gave me meat!

Quiet cafe amidst the hustle of one of Newcastle's busiest - Edit
I was surprised by a cafe that i'd otherwise overlooked.
Read moreThe budda bowl was "really great vegan food on Darby St. I'd come back"
The chorizo hot pot was offered to me with vegan sausage and no egg and it was both delicious and great value.
Toped off by lovely customer service and coffee from Jessie the barista in spite of a hectic influx of lunchtime traffic.
The specific long black bean blend "ascension" was strong yet a little fruity.
My girl friend was suggested the "really great" vegan bowl by a young lady "elyssa" who was on her first day. She was helped with menu knowledge by Jessie. I was impressed again by her customer service as she was seamlessly learning a new job.
The walnut schnitzel burger with vegan aioli and sweet chilli was awesome, definitely no excuse to eat animal meat with this as an alternative.
Damn boi. 🥰
Local and i'll come back

The Vegan Options are Good! - Edit
Sanctum has a few Vegan options scattered about the menu, but all are well thought out and delicious. You aren’t getting a subpar meal just for choosing vegan.

We had the waffles and the avocado toast which were nice. I found it was a bit pricey for Newcastle but the food was good. The staff was nice and they were. A few options available on the menu so it was nice to have com choices for vegans

Incredible Food. Incredible Service - Edit
Staff are exceptionally friendly and accommodating to Vegan/Vegetarian. Close to half the menu is Vegan or Veg option. Central to Newcastle’s highlights, the food is always tasty and satisfying for a vegan all-day breakfast or lunch, frequent here often as it is close to the uni, 10/10 would recommend!
