I stumbled across this place in Baytown while visiting. The owner was very nice and personable. The food was very good and very well priced.

Great Menu, Check Food - Edit
This restaurant has a great menu and vegan options. The owner was there the first time and was very knowledgeable and nice. I ordered a vegan chickn torta and everything was great. The second time I returned there was real chicken in my torta and I had already taken a bite with all animal products. After I ate it I noticed the chicken was pulled and not in chunks like the first time. I ended up getting so sick and threw up in the car on the ride home. Also was trying so hard not to cry in the restaurant since I hadn’t eaten any meat in over two years and I had family with me. It was an honest mistake but I’m not sure if I’d personally go back after the second experience.

Vegan Oasis in Baytown - Edit
I was in town for work and wasn’t expecting much in the way of vegan-friendly food options, so my expectations weren’t high. I came to Sabor because they looked to have a couple of vegan options. Turns out, they have many vegan options and are very knowledgeable. The owner’s daughter is vegan (and vets all vegan menu items) so she is adding vegan options to her menu and they are delicious. Options include tortas, tostadas, and soup. They have jackfruit, vegan chicken, and vegan chicken al pastor as filling. Additionally, they have vegan ice cream and ice cream bars (water based). You should go if you’re in town!

They are not a exclusively Vegan restaurant, but they are super knowledgeable and accommodating!! Very involved with their community, and are very reasonable!!
Read moreThey sometimes have cookies from DONDELI that are accidentally vegan. I live close and eat here at least once a week when I can!! So good!! Not terribly far from the East side of Houston either. Can not recommend them enough!!

We drove from Missouri City & it was definitely worth it. The owner’s daughter is Vegan & they are very knowledgeable about the vegan options - the fact that they have Vegan Torta & Tostada options are awesome!! They are willing to make more Vegan selections if people order them!
