Viele vegane Gerichte - Edit
Wir hatten die gefüllten Pizzabrötchen, überbackene Nachos & Pizza Margherita vegan. Alles sehr lecker, an käse würde nicht gespart. Nur die Frischecreme war nicht so der Knaller. Könnte man auch weglassen.

Many options but not satisfying - Edit
Their seitan schnitzel was very bland. The fries were ok. The fried vegetables were soggy and tasteless. Two stars because we got olives and bread.

Delicious & affordable - Edit
Many vegan options that were clearly marked on the menu. I ordered vegan penne with mushrooms and seitan and really enjoyed it. All dishes were really affordable and the service was super friendly.

Great place to eat south of the S-Bahn-Ring - Edit
I really liked the vegan saitan-Schnitzel I ordered. It came in a rich tomato and bell-pepper sauce with garlic and olives and was really tender - very tasty!

Value for money and more than expected - Edit
I was quite surprised when I found a completely(!) vegan menu from this unremarkable and rather old fashioned looking Italian restaurant in my letter box a few months back. Turns out they’re still omnivorous but added some vegan options — or maybe they had them for years now but never advertised them? Anyhow, as vegan places are really rar in this less hip part of Neukölln, I really wanted to try out this place for some months now. Especially as I‘d prefer to support local businesses (and their efforts in offering vegan options) than hand my money to the next hipster place that moves in after the old restaurant goes out of business.
Read moreToday I could finally give it a try. My partner and I ordered „Tofu Caprese“ (marinated tofu with dried tomatoes, cherry tomatoes, basil and rucola salad which came with half a loaf of fluffy olive bread that wasn’t even advertised on the menu!) and „Bianca Toscana al forno“ (baked tofu slices with fresh tomatoes, olives, pepperonis and garlic) as take-out. They mixed up our order and gave us a vegan pizza with two kinds of mushrooms, vegan cheese, cherry tomatoes and tofu instead. As we were quite hungry and the pizza looked really good, we didn’t complain and took the pizza.
For 10€ we got this half loaf of bread, a lot of rucola salad with delicious tomatoes and a big pizza with pretty good vegan cheese. Would order again any time.
Was it the best salad I ever had? The most skillfully marinated tofu? A pizza topping combination to die for? Definitely not. But really convincing food, big portion sizes for an incredible price and we got to support a local business with a friendly owner that tries its best to offer a vegan range of food as well.
[On their website click on „Rusticana Speisekarte“ to download the German/English menu.]
Update (September 2021): The prices increased quite a bit and they adjusted their vegan menu a bit. I hope now the prices are enough for them to support themselves.
I had the vegan pizza Landwirt a few days ago (6€ for a really huge pizza) and was surprised how much cheese they used and how good the cheese tasted. I don’t care much for the courgette they put on the pizza but overall it was really nice.

Pros: Cheap (5-9€) without offering low quality, Big range of food, There’s more included than stated on the menu
Cons: Mixed up one order (but the „switch“ was vegan :)

Not the best vegan pizza I ate but cheap - Edit
Friendly stuff and very cheap prices (6€ for a pretty big pizza).
Read moreI didn't have to wait that long and the pizza was pretty good. All they need is some more experience with vegan cooking and it could be even better.
