Solid vegan options at an upscale Persian restaurant - Edit
Rumi is a well known upscale Persian restaurant near the Walter E. Washington convention center. I stopped by for lunch with a non-vegan coworker. The waiter was very friendly and helpfully indicated the vegan (check marks) and vegan-with-modification (circles) options on the menu. I ordered the mirza ghasemi with a side of lavash crackers. It was really tasty, but I felt the portion was small for the price. They brought out sumac, green herbs, radishes, walnuts cucumbers, and bread. The bread is not vegan and contains dairy.
