Three Words: Texas Sheet Cake - Edit
Oops—we did it again…ordered with our hearts and found our favorites while sitting in the car! The absolute and undeniable winner was the Texas sheet cake (also known as a Funeral Cake in the South). It was decadent, gooey, and all around an amazing bite of chocolate cake with that iconic cracked chocolate frosting. She got ahold of a phenomenal recipe that I secretly wish I had! The oatmeal cream pie was a big and fluffy mildly sweet 1980-something throwback to the ones my mom used to pack in my lunch. We also tried the everything brownie, S’mores brownie and the mini chocolate cupcake with vanilla frosting. Those were items we probably would not order again but it was really fun to try! The Berry Crumble Bar was everything you want from a fruit dessert: a little sweet, a little salty, a little crunchy and jammy. We got to chat with the owner for a bit which was really cool. The staff made us feel welcome and grateful to have our business. Well done, ladies! We’ll be back and would 100% recommend them.
