Vegan vietnamese food - Edit
We were here today and definitely understood that it was a vegan restaurant, the sign said so and on the menu I only saw vegan options, for example, the dishes were served with a protein of your choice: tofu, vegan chicken and something else that I can't remember now. The service was fast and the food was good even though I've had more tasty Vietnamese food. I had fried spring rolls with rice noodles and my partner had vegan chicken with red curry and coconut milk. As I said, not the best I've had, but good, and vegan!

Quite good - Edit
I've seen the comments of people saying this place isn't fully vegan anymore. However, I have ordered online a couple of times before AND today I also got takeout from their restaurant and from what I've seen, this place is currently fully vegan. Maybe they weren't for a while but they went back to it? Idk, but anyway: pretty good food. Not a 10/10, but among the vegan and vegetarian vietnamese restaurants in Berlin, I'd say it's average.

Good food - Edit
The food was good but I think the other Vietnamese restaurants in Berlin are better. Also, the mango salad wasn't fresh (the mangoes were pickled)

Not great but good enough - Edit
The food was relatively good - I had the peanut curry with the sesame "duck", and some salted edamame beans, which are always reliable and delicious. I don't think it really stands out amongst the huge number of veg*n Vietnamese restaurants in Berlin though.
Read moreSadly the server didn't give me any recommendations when I asked. He did, however, give me some free tap water, which seems to be a rarity in Germany.

Sisyphean - Edit
Tried another Vegan Vietnamese in Berlin with good rating. Picked dish 31, in order to try something new instead of always going for noodle dishes.
Read moreCan’t say that I fell off my chair in terms of flavor. Not dynamic. Lack of aroma, depth and spices. Overall pretty flat and uninspiring.
Maybe I am too picky?

Great all-vegan Vietnamese - Edit
I tried the Bun Cha Cuon and it was delicious! I dined in and the restaurant had a really nice, cosy ambiance. The restaurant is pretty spacious so there was plenty of available seating. The food came out quickly and the server was very friendly. It’s better to pay in cash if possible; my server informed me that paying with card would be more expensive. Overall I would definitely recommend Rou!

Delicious 🤤 - Edit
I had a starter and a main dish. The staff is very friendly and kind. If you’re in Berlin give this place a test. It’s close to the Berlin Wall Memorial which you can visit after your lunch/dinner

I recommend this restaurant - Edit
A pleasant restaurant with very friendly staff. They were kind to our small dog and gladly brought him a bowl of water. The food was really excellent and the prices were reasonable. The lime soda was also excellent and very refreshing.

Excellent selection of vegan asian cuisine - Edit
I found it hard to choose from their options, everything seemed so great! I ended up ordering dumpling soup and gyozas, something I can never get vegan where I live. Both tasted great and the dishes my friend ordered were also tasty. Even if you're staying somewhere further away from them in Berlin, I would recommend making the effort to taste their food. I also recommend the Saigon bier they offer, super tasty and fruity!

Friendly, chaotic - Edit
Super friendly. They do not understand customers too well. Beer got no bubbles if you order it draft (from tap). Alcohol-free beer available even if it's not on the menu. Food quality of some items is excellent (tamarind soup, dumpling). Try to speak very slow and clear and repeat what you want; be careful about they typical cow milk in coffee (they do have oat milk but not condensed). Peaceful, a little chaotic.

"Cash only" at random times - Edit
We checked that Rou Vegan wasn't cash only, and decided to come here over another place for that reason. But then they changed their mind with us. I'm not sure why that happened, but it was really inconvenient. The food was average and the service was not very good. Maybe it was an off-day overall.
Read moreThe interior of the restaurant is beautiful, but that was the only plus. Next time I would rather go to the other Vietnamese restaurants in the area, instead of Rou.

Great discovery - Edit
A restaurant that looks banal but as much to offers. The research of the tastes is very interesting and everything is good and fresh. It's all vegan and the menu is large. If you want something spicy you can ask and will be served. The soupe Pho tofu curri is extraordinary and the peanut curry tofu & tempeh and the chicken peanut curry are very tasty and well done. Highly recommand. #Veganuary

I want to give 5*, but just not quite there! - Edit
It was a little quiet, but it’s a nice spot and a good location if you’re going on the Unterwelten tour! The menu was a little intimidating, I’m not used to so many options! I’ve no real complaints regarding the food; it was tasty, hot and came pretty quickly. My only minor niggle was that the meat substitute was a little underwhelming. I had the duck, and Udon noodles it came with were great, but the “meat” didn’t do it for me. Other than that, had the Gyoza, which was enjoyable and a very tasty smoothie. Nothing definably wrong, but not quite perfect!
