Serves meat, vegan options available. Features veg brick oven pizza, soup, and sandwiches. Also a used bookstore with music on weekends. A good place to eat and hang out. Reported closed August 2023.
Before I was vegan I ate lots of vegetarian food at Revelations, and it was great. I went there today for the first time as a vegan, and when I asked what items they had that came vegan, the only one the cashier said they had is the Sesame Ginger Pizza.
She also added that I could get the Veggie BLT without aioli, or the Breakfast Burrito without eggs and cheese, or the Egg and Quinoa Breakfast without eggs. But those were all the options she gave. I'm sure the salads could be ordered without cheese as well, with vegan dressings, but she didn't mention those.
I also noticed that on their menu the only item clearly marked as vegan is the Sesame Ginger Pizza, so I wouldn't say that they cater to vegans very well (menu doesn't even show which items are not vegan but can be ordered vegan). I got the Sesame Ginger Pizza, which was delicious, but in terms of vegan-friendliness I'm giving the 2 star "needs improvement" rating. If you're just vegetarian, however, you will have no problems eating here as they have MANY vegetarian options.
Favorite place for vegan lunch and for coffee! - Edit
I eat at Revelations regularly for lunch, and get my soy latte here almost every day. The coffee and soy milk are organic, and I think it's the best coffee in town! They serve a variety of vegan and vegetarian options including sandwiches, soup, pizza and some great salads. There is also a vegetable stir fry that varies each day. The Veggie BLT is a favorite, along with the Revelation's salad (hold the feta). Also you can put together a custom pizza with lots of veggies and no cheese. They are also a bookstore, so you can browse through a huge assortment of interesting books while you are there.
This is a thriving meeting place in Fairfield, a bookstore/giftstore [censored] sandwich shop and pizza place. Soups, salads, sandwiches, and pizza. The pizza, made in a wood-fired oven, is excellent. They also serve some meat. The serve organic coffee and some other organic selectons.
The staff is unfailingly helpful, friendly, and courteous. This is the place to go in Fairfield.
