Good, basic food - Edit

Read moreI would rate this place three cows for the good basic food. This is a great place to come if you're on a budget because it has the cheapest set meal in the relatively expensive Miraflores neighborhood. I went twice in January 2020 and the set meal at lunchtime costs 11 soles (add 1 sol if you want brown rice).
They have six starter plates and six main plates to choose from. I chose the fruit salad starter plate and the quinoa with brown rice and salad for the main plate. The meal also comes with a drink and a simple dessert. I thought the food was fine, although a bit average. The fruit salad was good. The main plate could use improvement as the tortilla Espanola could have used about a minute more cooking on each side to brown it a little bit (it was also a little oily). I don't know if there were eggs in it or not. One thing I noticed is that even though it's vegetarian restaurant there aren't a lot of vegetables on the main plate other than lettuce and tomato (lack of vegetables such as broccoli carrots celery, etc.)
Since the price is low, it fills up quickly at lunch time. I would arrive no later than 12:45 p.m. so you can quickly get a table. They've been at this location for about 20 years so they must be doing something right. I was the only foreigner in the whole place. I think twice was enough for me.

Siempre como muy rico aquí. El menú está 11 soles y si solo quieres comer segundo esta 9 soles. La comida es siempre rica con un toque casero. Lo recomiendo. Siempre tienen varias opciones veganas.
