Serves meat, vegan options available. Restaurant offering a variety of vegan cakes, soups and salads. Note Sept 2023: previously offered vegan cheese, but now they have very limited options, only a cheeseless pizza, or at one of the cafes a vegan burger if you omit the mayo, and a few vegan desserts. Open Mon-Sun 10:00am-5:00pm.

Modern cafe with vegan options - Edit
A big menu with some vegan options when we were there. Vegan pizza (pictured) was tasty and filling for two people. Also soups and some salads/sandwiches available though as they probably change with season check if they are vegan. The vegetarian sandwich had cheese on it but that was easily removed.

Cons: Probably gets very busy in peak season, Limited full vegan options

No savoury food - Edit
There was a choice of vegan cakes, but we were looking for lunch and there were no vegan sandwich or soup options - the tomato soup contains cream. Didn't get a look at the buffet so there might have been something but the girl behind the counter didn't look too optimistic or sure so we didn't bother standing in the queue. Bit disappointing in such a popular stopping place, especially when there are cake options available.

Pastries but not much food - Edit
There were like six different vegan cake options but the only lunch was a cheeseless pizza. I wasn’t super hungry anyway so I grabbed a cake and it was pretty good, especially for cafeteria food in a tourist attraction. You can do better if you’re looking for a meal, but you can definitely do worse! They also had alternative milks for coffee.

Lots of cake options but so expensive - Edit
Really good cakes, we had chocolate and pear cake and a lemon cheesecake, but it cost £18 for two pieces of cake, which is expensive even for Iceland 😅

Great pastries and coffee at Costa coffee - Edit
We stopped here on the way to Kerlingarfjoll and I saw they had vegan options at Costa coffee stand. They had a vegan cheesecake which looked divine and a trillionair chocolate pie. We tried the trillinair chocolate pie and it was so good! Their coffee is also very good!! They also have oatmilk.

Vegan skyr-cake - Edit
They get points for being the first place we found a vegan Icelandic cheesecake (technically skyr-cake), which was super light and delicious (with lemon glaze). Other vegan sweets were also clearly labeled, which we always appreciate. Otherwise it's a huge cafe (and a souvenir shop) catering to geyser tourists, so be warned!

They probably had 6 vegan desserts. We got lemon cheese cake and caramel apple cake— both very very good!

Lots of desserts - Edit
I was surprised to find half a dozen labeled vegan dessert options! We got the trillionaire tart and salted caramel cake and enjoyed both. They also had oat milk for my tea. A nice stop to warm up after seeing the geysir. Staff was very friendly!

Crowded place because everyone wants to see the Geysir, of course…
